"Dreamsea Nica is a paradise. Located between San Juan del Sur and Maderas surf Beach. When you enter through the gates you are immediately transported into a lush tropical paradise where the only sound is nature. The staff was friendly, attentive where anything you asked for was not a problem. The rooms were incredible. Tastefully decorated with a big comfortable bed, and veranda. The pool was refreshing with a Tiki bar to make everything right Yoga and surf was offered each day....

"Not on the beach: you walk 100 yards of dirt road to Playa Marsella (not a very good beach but good sunset) Room stripped down basic: mattresses have no box spring. One thin sheet on each bed in diff colors: they were like someone's old sheets. We had only 1'x1/2' window could be opened. AC lost a knob. "The hotel has beautiful views, wonderful staff (Tom and Marvin), and great food. It would be nice if hot water was available for showering. All of the water was salty as well. They didn’t have any blowdryers. Understood it is a hostel but for the higher cost of a private room, they should carry a few cheap ones at the front desk to borrow for guests of private rooms in case they need. A nice hostel I stayed at in at Lake Atitlan did this. The rooms on the rooftop get noisy if it’s windy. Minimal...

"The location is fabulous- we were in one of the Cangrego units right by the beach & loved it. That being said, our experience with the hotel wasn't 100% positive. We had arranged for a taxi from the hotel to meet us at the border, but were met first by a scammer, who greeted us by name, so we thought he was the taxi driver. He eventually made clear that he wanted us to pay him $20 per person to "help us through the border". He was a friend of the taxi driver apparently, & they were working...
