I had a very bad experience on this place. I got charged $70 because I supposedly stained a sheet and a towel. I asked for a manager to discuss the situation but she was indifferent and didn’t show any appreciation for me as a customer.

This hotel is wonderful and located close to Ezcazu and San Jose. Ezcazu is the next city over then the city of San Jose. You can walk about 5 minutes to the left to McDonald's. You can walk about 20 mins to the right and you have kfc, Burger King, Starbucks, cream, Taco Bell and many other stores and restaurants. Immediately outside the hotel, you have a nail salon, pharmacy, pizza shop, Italian restaurant etc. The people there are very decent and extraordinarily CLEAN. The hotel smells amazing. Not many people were on the property. The pool view was great. Breakfast is usually eggs, sausage, veggies, rice and beans, fruits, breads, cheese, jellies and jam, and a carb- French toast, waffles, harsh brown, or pancakes. The only drawback (and I am nitpicking) the rooms do not have shower gel or bathing soap. They have hand wash, face wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Also, you buy one bottle of water downstairs for $4 but when they restock your room, it is free. Overall excellent!

My partner and I enjoyed our week stay at the Studio Hotel Boutique. This property has a very cozy, warm and artistic ambience - sculpture, paintings, sketches, lithographs are generously displayed. Breakfast has the traditional Costarican & continental on offer. Staff were excellent across the board. Located approximately 30 mins. away from the downtown/central hustle & bustle of San Jose, Studio Hotel offers a suburban respite after a day of sightseeing & adventure. The only negative we encountered was the bedding in the room. Bed linens were pilly & somewhat scratchy; pillows were lumpy & offered no support whatsoever.

This Hotel was such a wonderful surprise!! It was not just a GREAT value but also convenient, well-maintained, and very comfortable; it was a museum. The artwork from the parking lot and all common areas was a treat. It was worth the stay, and I can say it was better than any Museum I have ever seen in Costa Rica.

I own several hotels in Nevada, and I am a Hilton Diamond level member. I always have something to complain about at a Hilton. This hotel was extraordinary except they heat their water with solar so the water is not as hot as I would like it. Other than that, it’s an exceptional property.
