This hotel is ideally located for getting to the airport - but there is a downside to that: if you are in an airport-facing room, you are located at the end of the runway and the soundproofing isn't the best. Rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean. The lady who checked me in was lovely, spoke English better than I speak Spanish, and arranged my early shuttle to the airport for the next morning. While there are food outlets nearby, I chose to eat in the hotel's restaurant, where I had an enormous pizza and my last couple of Imperial beers. On the morning of my departure, I arrived at reception at 4.05am and the young man there (who also spoke English) confirmed that my ride to the airport would be there in ten minutes. Coffee and biscuits were available while I waited. The minibus taxi arrived promptly and we arrived at the airport four minutes later.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean and cute restaurant with good food on site. Beds were not very comfortable and it’s right under the flight path so very loud when planes were taking off or landing.

This is a nice place to stay close to the airport. With it being so close to the airport it is very easy to hear the airplanes taking off and landing. Also if you like to sleep in then this might not be the place for you as the staff arrive early (6am) and start making noise. They are all very helpful and the property is kept looking nice.

Very noisy with street traffic, planes and trains. The beds are hard. Most of the staff were nice and helpful. Driving in this area was very stressful if not use to Costa Rica driving.

I did not actually stay here. Within 10 minutes of placing my reservation online, I tried to cancel. I realize that it was non-refundable, but seriously within minutes they would not make an exception. There was a legitimate reason for my change a plans. I didn’t change to another location, I couldn’t make the trip due to a circumstance that presented itself with in minutes of hitting “send.” So, in short, I will never stay at this hotel, which is unfortunate, since it appears to be a great place.

Hotel Mango is a wonderful little local property, despite being very close to the end of the runway at the airport. It is clean, extremely functional, comfortable, great staff and has an awesome little courtyard with a pool and a super cute restaurant/bar. You can get breakfast to go if you have an early flight. It is a refreshing break from the chain hotels.

I only stayed a night in-between flights, but found the hotel pleasant with good food! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Almost wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy their outside area. Only downside is because it is so close to the airport (and along the flight path) there is noise.

The young guy at check in was soooo polite and friendly. The little restaurant was great. The hotel is so clean and quaint. Bed was comfortable. It was great for an overnight before our early 6am flight. The shuttle at 3am was on time and they had coffee and cookies out for us. Overall great experience!

I spent at least an hour trying to figure out how to enter the hotel. It has a narrow gated entry in a brick wall on a very busy street. Coming from the wrong direction it is nearly impossible to turn into the gate and there is not a place to turn around for at least a mile. No instructions were given that we should turn into the entrance and honk to get the gate open. Once we were inside, the hotel was surprisingly nice though the room was sparse and undecorated. The flight departure path was right over the hotel and pretty noisy starting at 5 am. Good breakfast and coffee provided. Very convenient to the airport and rental car return agencies.

After spending 3 months in southern Costa Rica I was not ready to deal with a big chain hotel. mango was perfect for a night before heading to airport. There is even a mango tree by the pool that was dropping mangos while I was there.

Very clean and quaint boutique hotel with a beautiful outdoor restaurant overlooking the pool. Our breakfast really good. A ripe mango fell at our feet by the pool so we ate it, super fresh and tasty. We tried to stay there on our return the city but it was fully booked. Great quality price!

The staff were very helpful. They helped me with directions and downloading helpful apps to use in Costa Rica. The complimentary breakfast was very good and served restaurant style.

Staff was not attentive or very welcoming. Asked for an extra towel and it never arrived. Slow to greet upon arrival as they were too busy teaching another guest how to use Uber app! Shuttle had to depart earlier than breakfast was served... figured we could get a food voucher for dinner instead but no luck. Shuttle service to airport was punctual. Lots of mangoes but none offered. Asked and the staff just giggled. Very noisy... airport noise and hallway noise. Hampton Inn next to airport is much better insulated from airport noise and hallway noise.

The bathroom fan was extremely noisy - similar to the jets coming into the airport. Otherwise it was very good.

A perfect place to stay the night if you have a flight next morning. And, they provide a shuttle service, perfect friendly staff and clean facilities and air-conditioning.
