If you are a lighter sleeper or if you do not enjoy night life, this hotel is not for you. I did not mind the noise, they provide white noise machine for you to turn on and I was able to fall asleep. It’s in the middle enough to either walk or get an Uber for less than $10. Plenty of food and night life options. Heater/AC take a while to start working and not sure if the “waterfall” shower head was working or not, but there was a long wait time whenever I called the front desk where I was okay with just using the smaller shower head. Since the pool is with their rooftop bar, I don’t know how “family friendly” it actually is. But as someone that went for nightlife, it was a great option! Rooms are on the smaller side, but you still have a desk in front of your bed, a small closet and bathroom is a decent size

I enjoyed the stay and the staff were friendly. I was however charged $300 on arrival which I was told was a holding deposit but it came out of my account and now I have to contact the hotel to get this back. This is the first time this has happened to me on a hotel stay.

The hotel is great but the parking/valet situation sucks. The street is closed off on weekends apparently so you have to valet on a side street and walk around a few businesses to the front to check in. Besides that, it’s very nice and a great location to walk to all the bars! The hotel rooftop bar is hella expensive too fyi.

Great hotel only two things I would criticize would be the size of the rooms and wish the cabanas on the rooftop could be booked(they all taken when we were there).

The rooms were clean and pretty quiet. The elevators were quick. The staff was very friendly. Overall I really liked the hotel. Also loved the complimentary water bottles and cold glasses in the fridge. The breakfast was good too and decetnly priced for what you get. The Lavender pouches in front of the elevator for our pillows was an extra special touch. Cons: The street in front of the hotel is blocked off at night so when we arrived from the airport, our Uber driver was cofused about where to drop us off. We didn't know either (first time visitors). The hotel signage is not visible from the 5th and F streets (I think that is where we were dropped off). Also, while the room was clean, the shower could use some attention. It needs a good scrub - grout and around the shower door were a little moldy.

Property was noisy! Do not stay here if you want rest! Music plays all night and delivery trucks start before 5 am! However, the location is great for restaurants and walk abilities! Staff was great and rooftop pool and sun deck was very relaxing! Also the street is blocked off at 12noon every day so shared ride services can not pull in front of the hotel after lunch!

We were told we would be able to check in at noon and weren’t able to check in until almost 5pm. By the time we checked in the pool was closed which is why we booked this hotel originally. We valeted our car for $60 and when we got our car back after checkout, the seats were all lounged and our belongings that were in the trunk were rummaged through. I would not recommend this hotel, as the staff was extremely rude and made zero effort to accommodate us.

Where do I begin?? Really disappointed! The accommodations were terrible! It was SO loud! I understand being in this neighborhood will mean some noise but The music from the street was blaring until 2am, and then started up again at 7am… but it wasn’t until the next morning that I realized the thumping bass wasn’t just coming from outside it was also coming from the room right next door! The walls of the rooms were paper thin, could hear everything. The king bed was SO uncomfortable. Very stiff and you could feel the springs in the mattress. And the sheets were terrible. It felt like sleeping on sandpaper. Also… no privacy for your bathroom. It’s a sliding glass door which leaves gaps. Some other complaints… they wouldn’t let our friends check into their room until 5pm… Google maps also directs you to the back of the hotel, where there is no entrance. Also the breakfast is terrible. Don’t waste your time. Would NOT stay here ever again. Not worth it!

It was right in the city so it was loud if you are staying for a business trip but thankfully we were not. Staff was nice but it seemed like the girl at the desk was annoyed we checked in.

Not a criticism of the hotel itself but the area is incredibly loud at night with music from local clubs bumping loud enough to be heard from the 6th story. The immediate area is clean but a block away reeks of urine and filth (next to the closest parking garage, for instance). There are homeless folk everywhere - many with the telltale fentanyl bend. Other than that my only complaint would be to plan for parking (nothing available at hotel aside from valet for $58/day) and the fact that the streets get blocked for foot traffic after the business day (not captured by Google Maps so plan on deviating from any routes. I'd recommend using Uber/Lyft if you don't need a rental car.

I usually choose to stay at Marriott properties because they’re usually very nice and just overall great! Not the case for this hotel, while the hotel itself is clean here are the issues I encountered… - the shower door wouldn’t close, the AC unit wouldn’t turn on which prompted a call to the front desk and I was told “I don’t know how to use them so sorry I can’t help you” and hung up, the rooftop pool is NOT actually the hotels, it’s a small awkward club/lounge (when I went up to the pool there was a networking event going on), the hotel rooms are small and stuffy with the bed being uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy. I am usually not one to write reviews but my stay here was underwhelming, disappointing and not as advertised.

Hotel is nice and the staff is there to do their job though nothing more. The hotel staff are on par with the rest of the city folks; transactional and cold. It is too bad, a warm welcome makes all the difference and keeps tourist wanting to come back. Facilities were good, bed comfortable. All and all, if you’re okay with a generic interaction, it is an okay hotel.

It was a nice hotel. There different eateries you could choose from at night since it was on a Friday they close the street and you could walk around. It was a nice experience. We’ll be back for sure. The only thing parking for hotel they don’t have only valet parking. The valet guys were very friendly.

We liked the dining options close by and the vibrant area. It was extremely hard to find the property the day that we got there as the street is closed on the weekend and no one told us this. Additionally, the parking is $58 a night which I think should also be disclosed ahead of time.

This newly renovated hotel is right on Fifth Ave, right in the middle of the action in the gaslamp district. The rooms are very comfortable and new. The rooftop experience is very cool and relaxing. The staff at the AC hotel were fantastic, and Miguel the GM was wonderul in making us feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Highly recommend for this area.

Location was Very convenient to areas of Gaslamp. Very modern decorated. All staff were very friendly and assisted us with anything. Just one female bartender excessively charged us for drinks we did NOT order. The waitress Sydney was awesome! Very detailed and attentive to us. I wish she was the bartender! This person multitasked and was on target every time. Thank you Sydney !!
