"On arrival I was initially a bit disappointed as the hotel looked 'old style'. We live in Jamaica and have stayed at many 4* hotels. Unfortunately, our perennial experience and complaint is poor customer service. However this is not the case at Jewel which from arrival at reception and throughout, we were very impressed with the courteous and helpful staff, quality of the food which was presented well and hot food served hot. The Jewel Hotel stood out as excellent for customer service. Our rooms were very clean and stocked each day. The grounds of the hotel were lovely with various places to sit quietly. The entertainment was good particularly on our first night (knife throwing/fire-eater and beach singer). Our stay was part of a treat for our grandson celebrating his birthday. The cake was pricey - but was baked to perfection and presented very well, by staff on the night who added to the special evening. We also took a ride on the glass bottom boat and the captain was good humoured, courteous and informative. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend and visit again. "

"everything the staff is really nice. the buffet is good honestly i just rather eat at the buffet for $109 wr did dunn river falls, snorkeling for 45min & had a boat party with an open bar!!!’ you cant beat that! the kayaking was sooooo nice ! you come to clean room everyday! they fill your fridge its super cool the staff is super friendly "
