“A Perfect "Welkom" To Rotterdam”
I was able to check in early (8am) after a very long flight with no troubles. They also provided me with a room upgrade free of charge. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Everyone was also extremely friendly. I couldn't have asked for more.
“Fine hotel”
Hotel easy to locate, and 2 tram stops (or 10 minutes walk) from Central Station. Pleasant area, near museums, some bars, and shops; and on several tram lines. Metro just round the corner. I had little reason to request help from staff, but they were always helpful. Room very large, well-furnished, spotless.
“Very nice hotel in excellent location”
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The location was great, only 5-10 mins walk from the central station, shopping streets, attractions, but I dont see this much as an advantage over other hotels, since Rotterdam is quite a small city and everything is in a walking distance. The room was big and very clean. Very great value for money compared to a 2-star hotel/hostel we stayed in in Amsterdam at double the price of Bilderberg.
“Fine Hotel in a great location”
Nice hotel, great location, convenient for all purposes. Very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived on a night flight and they let me check in at 9 AM at no extra cost. A problem with the bathroom ventilator was promptly treated. In other words they were just helpful all around, at the desk, in the bar where I held my business meetings and in all matters.
“Group stay”
Excellent location, walkable distance to town centre. Flexible parking. They allow you to drive in and out. We travelled in a group of 13 people. Extra beds were provided in the rooms as requested. Only negative: bar and breakfast are expensive. But other restaurants around the corner.
“Great Nights Sleep”
Hotel was an excellent central base for me. Was only in Rotterdam for the marathon and needed somewhere conveniently located for the expo, start/finish area & train station. Perfectly located on the edge of the main square, the room was more than adequate for my needs and the bed provided me with a perfect nights sleep. The only drawback was the breakfast which was ridiculously over priced for what was on offer.

“An hotel in a good location”
The Hotel is in a good location on a street overlooking canal. It is very close to the Museum Park and close to restaurants/cafes. It was also within easy walking distance of Rotterdam Centraal railway station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My bedroom was in a quiet location in the Garden Wing overlooking the hotel garden.
“Price - Quality: out of balance”
I found the Bilderberg Hotel a pleasant enough hotel to stay at: but they are overcharging. Whether this is because of the location, because of it's "name", or because it targets the more wealthy customer and keep out the others; it's all irrelevant; the price is too high for the quality of the hotel. All services delivered were fine. The breakfast was very standard, but fine. For the given price per night, you'd expect "the little extras" to be there. and they really weren't. One of the things I REALLY missed (call me spoiled..) was the fact that there was no ironing service They did however offer me an iron and an ironing board, which I accepted since I desperately needed to iron my stuff. The iron & board were old (and dirty) and after ironing the dirt off the board into my shirt, I decided to go out and buy some new clothes as it would be easier (and cheaper then a dry-cleaner). The other thing that struck me as odd was that I wasn't allowed to reserve a parking spot (even though they have plenty of them); I even offered to pay for the reservation, but it was refused. I managed to park both times, but you would expect to be able to arrange these things in a hotel that claims to be one of the best hotels in Rotterdam. The location of the hotel is fabulous. It's garden is very pretty, the staff was forthcoming and friendly, the bar has a good collection of whiskeys and barmen that know their stuff. In short: not an unpleasant experience, but overpriced.
