This resort hotel has a lot of potential. The staff was friendly. Ample lounge chairs and beds by the pool and ocean. Air-conditioner in room worked well too. Once the sun goes down, there is not much to do for guests. You basically have to entertain yourself. There is only one restaurant on the premises. Not everything advertised on the menu was available. You won't be able to have dessert if it's not ordered before 8:30 pm. I would also recommend bringing mosquito repellent for the evenings.

The food wasn’t good

Checked in on Monday to Thursday complained about no hot water on day 1 they try fix it didn’t work So we where stuck with cold water everyday to shower would like discount on stay for this inconvenience!

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The place is brand new, cozy and modern. The facilities were outstanding! It is as good of a stay as any luxury chain resort. Getting there was easy enough since they provide their own Makani transportation, 18 min later we were welcomed at the property with a very cold beverage. We were upgraded on the pool chairs since the place was not busy and our room wasn’t ready We stayed with kids and they loved it! We were able to snorkel on their beach. Kids wished we stayed there for the entire vacation. My daughter got sick the night before we got there (too much sun exposure, I think since she got better right away) and the staff sent the property nurse. Everyone knew she was sick and offered to bring her tea/water/medicine etc. Even at night, the staff told me the guard of the property knew and will help in the worst case scenario, to take my daughter to Emergencies. Thankfully she felt better the next day and was snorkeling with dad all day Everyone knew my name and welcomed me (by my name) every time I got a drink or food. We came during the weekday and it wasn’t crowded at all! There are no vendors hustling on the beach, (anywhere you go in the beach, people will try to sell you things, be careful) However none of this happened on this resort. Relaxing here was amazing (no one was in sight) The price per night was expensive, but if you pay for the day or 2 to come here, then staying the night is worth it especially if you are here

I have travelled the world and never have taken the time to write a review, until now. Recently I had the pleasure of staying at the stunning Bora Bora Hotel and Beach Club at Islas del Rosario, Cartagena, Colombia. From the moment my sister and I arrived, Carolina, Leonardo, Antonio, Yuri, Maria Lindo, Roland, Jesu, Jorge, Adner, Stephanie, and the rest of the staff, provided hospitality and impeccable service to my sister and me. The well-appointed rooms combined with the natural beauty of its surroundings is to be experienced. In the morning, day only guests arrive to the beach club which offers different settings with different types of music for a fun ambience. On the other hand, for those that love tranquility, the private pool area for overnight guests only is the place. At 3pm the day guests leave and the place is left to the six-room overnight guests to enjoy fully. This is where the magic of the place gets elevated as it becomes your own, with gorgeous sunsets, nature sounds, views of crystal-clear warm waters of the Caribbean Sea, and incredible dinner service. Unbelievably gorgeous. Another highlight of our visit was visiting their sister property, Pao Pao, built under an aviary, a seven minute boat ride away. Frank, Miguel and Eric continued providing outstanding service in an incredible natural setting. I cannot recommend enough the Bora Bora Hotel and Beach Club and can't wait to go back.
