“Wonderful stay in Rome”

We stayed at the Westin Excelsior for a little over a week in May of 2010. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. The lobby was lovely, the staff very helpful, and the rooms extremely comfortable. The bed was great. We had a large flatscreen tv with at least 4-5 channels in English (including movie channels and ESPN America - being able to watch Sportscenter in Italy was definitely a plus!). The shower was amazing. We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we are in Rome. The hotel bar was nice, but a a little expensive - but that's just because it's Via Veneto. You can find more reasonable places if you head down Via del Tritone...

“Central Location”

The hotel was very well located for an tourist hoping for some typical tourist sites, shopping and yet close to the park with art gallery, fun things for kids or a nice jog. The service in the hotel was impeccable. We happened to be there during the G8, the hotel was fully booked and yet the staff was extremely professional.

“A great hotel in a great city.”

Altogether a good experience. The hotel is a little bit of a walk from most of the sights of interest, but we were able to manage with our nine year old. Took an easy to find taxi when we got too tired to get home on foot. The hotel was very nice and worth the few cab fares.

Walking in to the lobby of the Excelsior immediately connotes the elegance and majesty of a grand hotel in a great city. Upon check-in, our family was personally escorted up to our hotel room and made to feel right at home. The property is easy walking distance to the Spanish Steps and the all that Rome has to offer.

The hotel is well located, have style and the staff is friendly and multilingual. The restaurant is expensive The room wasclean and well decorated. It is hotel for bussiness travel or couples withaout childrens.
