We had a great stay at Colazione Al Vaticano. Very close to the train station and the Vatican. Super quiet neighbourhood. The room was very clean, big and comfortable. The only "negative" would be that there isn't staff on site 27/4 since it is a guest house so you just have to make sure you tell them when you are arriving so that Staff are there to check you in and show you to your room. But again, they are very accommodating so this isn't an issue, but more of a FYI. Would definitely recommend!

There are many things that we liked about the apartment (super knowledgeable, helpful friendly staff, convenient location to train and bus station, very close to the Vatican, some good food locations close) but the most important things were very disappointing....the left side of the bed's mattress was collapsing, the light fixture above the bed hadn't been dusted in who knows how long, the shower was small (I'm 5'11", 185 lbs), the room provided was NOT the room in the advertised photo and overall the room needed some definite attention. Unfortunately I would not stay again-too bad since there were many nice positives.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, it's in a great location for visiting the Vatican but it is a little ways away from most of the shopping and attractions. The staff here were great to deal with and check in was easy. The beds were not very comfortable, which was the biggest drawback for me. Overall, I would recommend this property.

The room was nice. We didn’t know that the restroom was not in the room. The staff was nice and responsive. This property is in an old building but the location is convenient. A lot of restaurants around the area.

The building itself was gorgeous, it is a residential building so you get that local experience and that Roma heritage vibe. Location wise, its a nice 30 min walk to Trastevere, this is where there is fantastic shopping including really neat vintage stores, plus wonderful cafes and restaurants. Its literally right by the Vatican (5 minutes and can see from the place.) Its right by the train/bus station too, in fact its located right behind the station which is a major bonus that is a rare find. I loved the size of the shower and fun movie decor. The shared kitchen had a lovely expresso machine and one can easily get latte milk at the coffee shop next door if needed or even at Carrefour market down the street. Having been in Italy for weeks before checking in, I can say confidently the staff there was the best I experienced service wise. I was really blown away by their kindness and hospitality. Definitely recommend this place. :) Be careful of the keys though they can be tricky ;)

We absolutely loved this hotel. The location is fabulous. Just a few minutes walk from the S. Pietro train station. We easily walked to the area of the Vatican and Castel Sant’angelo. There was a convenient lift for luggage. Alesia at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we could not drop our luggage off earlier in the day and had to drag it around until we could check in at noon. All in all we were very pleased and will most likely use this property in the future.

Hotels.com not very honest
The place is not really a hotel but an air bnb. I make the booking via hotels.com and i received a message that check in was offered only from 12.00 to 19.00. I try to reply to the message from hotels several times but the system was coming with an error. I contact the place directly and mentioned that our flight is arriving at 19.20 and we need to check in late. They told me that later than 19.00 check in is not possible and thet they cannot help me. It was impossible for me to book last minute hotel without paying more than 1000 euro per night. I call them again and ask to leave the key somewhere the said it is impossible. After a lot of discussions finally they send me the procedure how to enter. Since this was air bnb they have established procedure but when i called they told me impossible. The property is ok but if i knew that it was air bnb i will not have booked it. Hotels.com did not provide any information before i made the booking neither about the check in time restrain.

Beautiful guesthouse - great location
Great stay. Great location. Beside a bus and train station. Also beside a supermarket. Communal kitchen was great to sort out breakfast. Spacious room. Lovely high ceilings. AC was very welcome in August heat!! Alessia was a great host. Was so accommodating, let us leave our luggage there after check out. Would definitely stay here again

The staff was friendly and helped ensure we found the place. I was really disappointed that we stayed three nights with no hot water (lukewarm at best and not enough for two people to shower) and a drainage issue in the shower. This is not far from the Vatican and you can walk there as well as several restaurants so that’s the good thing.

BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE. photos are Nothing compare to what you will get into. we needed to step on our beds in order to get to the bathroom. they charged my card 3 times on 2 different days. I walked out the next day to a near hotel because they waked us up at 7am in the morning do to renovation of the building which was not disclosed on the reservation. stay away.

You had booked 4 rooms and you didn't even realize it, we pointed this out to you and we proceeded to cancel 2 for free. A couple of days before arrival you requested to cancel one of the 2 rooms but we advised that you were in penalty. "Ok, let's keep the one for 3 guests." You showed up at midnight (We could have refused the late check in since after h19: 00 we are not required to let anyone in, but we did not) in FOUR and in a hurry the colleague had to add a single bed in a room which absolutely did not foresee it, and you had the nerve to complain that the room was small. workers are painting the building, they start between 8/9AM, never at 7AM. We charged you for the 2 rooms, the late check in and the extra bed. We did it the next day because you ran away without paying. Yes, people like you MUST STAY AWAY.

Alicia was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, but the bathroom was a little outdated and the heater didn’t work. We were freezing and forced to sleep in layers. When we contacted the staff on hand we were told there wasn’t anything they could do. So basically the stay was miserable.

The staff (Daniel) was immensely helpful. He helped us both save money and avoid any unnecessary stress. He was just the best. The room was perfect. Good airflow, private, comfortable bed and bedding. On top of that, it's only 3-4 blocks from the entrance to Vatican City, right on the opposite side of the block from the train station. It is within (reasonable) walking distance from the entirety of Rome. I cannot recommend this place enough. If/when the wife and I go back to Rome, I wil DEFINITELY be staying here again lol.

First of all let me mention the price. It is so affordable, it’s walking distance from the Vatican City, you get the beautiful experience of hearing the church bells ring. The place is super clean, rooms bathrooms everything super clean. The staff is great, helpful, engaging. I had a great experience. Loved my stay.

The room was clean. Also, the position is very good since it is close to bus and train station and the Vatican. The bus 64 is going to take u to the Rome forum and to the Rome terminal station( the biggest station that has all buses and fast trains). However, few things needs to be mentioned: first, bathroom is shared with 3 other rooms. second, the building is in terrible condition. Third, the place is hard to find because the office is in a building and they have apartments in other buildings close by. Fourth, the main office is closing at 5 pm. No big sign for the hotel except a small name close to the ring bell 😩.

The staff was friendly and helpful checking in and with other questions that I had. My room was spacious and I had chosen the one that had its own bathroom. However, not all rooms do, so check carefully. There was a common kitchen area that had a kettle, cutlery, plates, microwave, etc. The location is very good. It’s about a 7-10min walk to the Vatican, 2 mins away from a subway station, coffee shops, restaurants and not far from most places in Rome’s city centre.
