Good location, nice terrace, step in and out shower was borderline dangerous, AC did not cool the room very well, breakfast needs work as they need to add fruit and coffee to the menu. The music in the bar at night was loud and pretty bad with a pre/recorded dance track and a singer on piano that was more like karaoke than a live musician

Hotel and restaurant in a great location with phenomenal view onto the valley. The rooms were clean, and the owner and staff were super friendly to us. I recommend this hotel!

Find somewhere else. I have stayed in abt 15 hotels in this european trip of approx $200/night. Worst experience here. Took abt 15 mins to find someone to check in, place is cluttered to the point of hoarding, not maintained, shower needs major scrubbing, no AC and lots of flies in the room, couple hosting doesn’t speak english so no help asking questions abt the area but they do pressure you when it comes to buy from the restaurant menu without even understanding what you want, WiFi is intermittent but mostly out the whole time, tv cable/antenna also mostly out. Find somewhere else. Not worth the experience.

Shittiest accommodation.
They can't speak English. They aren't cooperative. They will not listen to any of your request. Inshort they are robbers in the face of hotel mafia. I suggest u all to never use this.

Stay here if you like flies everywhere!
Lots of flies, very dirty rooms. I have 3 issues: 1. Booked a mountain view room. Was given room in the basement. See attached photos. 2. In the booking and in the hotel it said free WiFi. Was not able to find any WiFi network in the whole hotel, not even in the room. 3. Spent 45 minutes before the sleep time killing flies in the room, see photos attached. They were everywhere and a lot of them! 4. No AC in the hotel. 5. Opened a door in the morning to get some fresh air and a dog walked into the room from outside. Didn't affect me at all as we love dogs but could've scared someone especially with kids. Overall, very disappointed with this hotel. Owner appeared to be nice though as he served us some food at late night when we arrived, without showing us the price, then was a surprise bill of 25 euro for a plate of cold meat apetiziers which they served during breakfast next morning. Would I seen the price before, would never pay more that 5-10 euro for it.

Not good enough
The main issue with it is that it was very dirty. Bed sheets were dirty and dusty, probably from lack of guests. Shower was clogged, creating a pool of soap every time you shower. The staff were nice, although don't speak much English. Breakfast was below average. Overall pretty old hotel with not enough attention and care.

Gear family owned facility in a great mountain side location. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Accommodations are showing their age and could be spruced up a little. Air conditioning unit for restaurant was located outside our room and was noisy. Couldn’t open the window for sleeping due to the noise.

Well, you come here for the view...and the food. The room is small, bathroom is small, but the bed is comfy and the small balcony has a great view of vineyards and Bolzano below. The restaurant has great dinners and breakfast. English is not spoken here; it’s spoken little throughout Bolzano. This is a German-Swiss-Austrian town, and so are most of the tourists. But it doesn’t matter: you’ll love it anyway if you are a monolingual Brit or American!

Vineyards, mountains and singing cuckoo birds
Beautiful location with a family business. Great pride in their facility and striving to please. English is the third language here so be prepared if you don't know Italian or German. They do their best and we were able to get by and really enjoy our stay. Take a walk and enjoy the singing cuckoo's and every home looks like a cuckoo clock. We loved it!

Eclectic hotel in great location.
Hotel located above the valley, with super panoramic views from the southern rooms. Great starting point Hotel a bit dated, room was cold due to tiny radiator. Caution - our passports were photocopied without our permission. In ensuing discussion, woman behind the counter arrogantly cited some local police regulations, which is rubbish. Data and privacy protection laws are very strong in Europe, photocopying documents with signature can lead to a fraud ans it's major no no. She was just to lazy to write down the data from passport and chose to photocopy them.

Family run inn. Not hotel. Not very professional
They spoke little English so hard to communicate. When we did speak we felt they were quite patronising. Food very average. SO many flies everywhere. No lift. Tiny cramped room. We booked a balcony room with a view and got a window looking onto the car park. Would never stay again. Only plus was the view during breakfast.

Forgo your hotel room for this wonderful inn.
This is why you come to this area. For the experience and the views. You immediately are immersed in the mountaintop Tirolean inn you wanted. The owners and staff make you feel at home and the inn has a nice warm feel. We could only stay a day but I wish we could have stayed a week. I highly recommend that you forgo the hotel like so many other hotels that you were going to stay at and spend at least one night at this place.

Nice stay and very friendly and helpful service from the owners and her personnel. Strategic location, close to all the towns we wanted to visit for the Christmas markets. Breakfast could be more varied, and wi-fi in the room was very weak so we had to go to the reception area. Be prepared to drive curvy roads.

The sunset was stunning
No lift but that's the only thing negative I can find to say. The view is hard to beat and the drive up the mountain is thrilling. Best of all its right in the middle of the most charming Vinyard in the area

A disappointing surprise!
This hotel is set on the side of a beautiful mountain but a very difficult road to reach the hotel! A long way from the main city! When we arrived she was very friendly at the check in. However our room that was booked on Expedia said we would have a room with a balcony. However, we did not get this room when we asked for the room with a balcony we were told that we could have the room in a couple of hours because the cleaning lady was sleeping. We decided to stay where we were because that would have meant that we could get the room at 8:00 P.M in the evening. That was too late and we were tired. The front desk asked if we wanted complimentary supper or breakfast, we decided to have the supper but the next morning we were charged for the supper. The room was not very clean and the bed was very uncomfortable. We decided to check out early because we had to return the rental car back to Munich. At 7:00 a.m we were the only ones up in the whole hotel and tried to load our luggage into the car but all of the exits including the front door were locked. We had to wait for the owners to get up so we could pay and unlock the doors. My concern would have been what would happen if there was an emergency and all exits were locked. They said they would only take cash when we checked out and luckily we had enough cash. Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience.

Excellent for a visit to Otzi
We were heading from the Dolomites to Lake Garda and wanted to stay near Bolzano so that we could easily visit the Archaeological Museum and Otzi. Hotel Unterinnerhof proved to be an excellent choice with great service, good food, excellent views and pleasant surroundings.
