“Amzing Views, Close to Town.”
Firstly, only bad thing I can say about this hotel (mainly the room we stayed in 302) Could use a lil updating and maintenance. Was a lil outdated in the decor, and bathroom could use a refurbish (mould and damp, and badly ventallated) But overall, we loved our stay, and would stay again! We had amazing views over the lake and into the mountains. 5 Mins from town (tho it is up a hill, which we knew from reading other reviews) wasnt that big of an issue. Just made that drunken stagger back to the hotel a lil more of a work out. Is on route to The Remarkables Ski Fields, so the bus stopped to pick us up and drop us off at the hotel. Cossy lil fire place and bar that we snuggled up in with a few beers and the laptop in the afternoons. Wifi cost a fortune. Room service was great, and some what reasonably priced. We had issues on our second day, with our room not being made up and it was close to 5pm, after we asked it was promptly made up. 24hour reception and friendly helpful staff. A great holiday and would happily stay another 7 nights!
“great views and location”
surpassed our expectations
“Very Impressed”
Service was excellent. Will definitely stay there again. Restaurant also very good. Rooms very clean.
“Great hotel, great location”
The best part about the hotel is how close it is to the heart of Queenstown. Only a short walk down a small hill and you are there! The hill is tiny, so I don't get why people complain about it. Fear of exercise maybe? The staff is fantastic. And what you lose in modern luxury, you more than make up by the size of the room. It is huge! Really enjoyed it!
“Fantastic”
Great Hotel
“Very good deal”
We had a reservation for the first night and found it a descent rate. I loved that a coin laundry was on the premise. Minibar was well stocked. We needed a place a few nights later and after checking with other places in Queenstown, A-Line was still the best rate, even at the last minute.
“Highly recommended”
Lovely little individual 'chalets'; well-equipped; excellent food; friendly and helpful staff.
“Great place to stay”
Just around the corner from town, staff are very helpful, and rooms were very nice. Would stay again!
“Queenstown”
We had a lovely room with a sunny window seat so were able to sit and enjoy the view of Queenstown. The hotel owners had obviously thought about travellers needs and the room was well equipped and spacious.
“Best moderate priced hotel”
I was looking for a moderately priced hotel which offered a good level of accommodation so I could relax and enjoy myself. The Heartland achieved both goals.
