The gym facilities were poorly maintained and some of the equipment were inoperable. I did enjoy the hospitality and comfort of the resort. A water fountain or water bottle filling station would have made the trip just that more enjoyable. Having a fancy coffee machine or barista to serve specialty coffee would have been a good change to the regular coffee served throughout the day.

Food is terrible .no beef or seafood at lunch or dinner .italian is terrible pizza too many cheese pasta was ok .only pork and we as a family dont eat pork .best not te get all inclusive get breakfast only and eat outside .breakfast is the only good meal .rest of meals are horrible and repeated all food with pork

We reserved and paid for a King Size bed in our room they put us in a room with a full size bed. The safe was broken and the walls were so thin we could hear everything the people next door were saying. They moved us to another room with a King size bed. The front desk refused to give me the key to the new room,, they said the bellhop had to move us and he would bring the key. He came and moved us but did not have a key. The maid had to let us in. The Bellhop said he would be right back with the key, after an hour wait we went back to the front desk to finally get our key. All of this took 1.5 hours. This property is very dated and not in good repair. We overloom abandoned buildings on their property, trees that fell over and have been there for a long time. I would not recommend this property. The saving grace is the staff is very friendly.

Excellent staff, I would suggest that the areas( guest services) desk) need cleaning/updating. Main dining area, black fencing - need to be cleaned- dusted, toilets pool area , near DJ booth, plumbing need to be addressed. Social host- DJ-Derek? Was very good

You get what you pay for. The food wasn’t great, the room didn’t have any hooks to hang towels or bathing suits but the staff were attentive and lovely. The weather was perfect and the beach was beautiful.

My biggest problem with this resort was upon checking in, you get two complementary bottles of water in your room and that’s it. There were three of us staying in the room and if we wanted more water, we had to pay 25 pesos per bottle. We drink a lot of water and have never been limited in other resorts. Our beds were really comfortable and our room was a good size and had a balcony which was nice. The food was ok. If you’re craving for guac and salsa you won’t find any here. The à la cart restaurants were not great. The staff are good but there are no servers on the beach if that’s what you’re looking for. The pools are decent and the beach is nice. The grounds of the resort are nice as well. Lots of raccoons which were neat to see. If you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive no bells or whistles all inclusive place to stay, this would do the trick.

This is an old outdated resort but apparently will be getting some upgrades in a few months. The food is bad and over salted. We paid for an ocean view but it was limited so our view was a building in front of the ocean which I believe is the timeshare on the property. It’s very hard to get a lounge chair or any seating at the pool unless you are there when it opens at 8 and there was a film of slime and dead flies floating in areas of the pool. The liquor is not top shelf and the wine yuk. It’s a bit of a walk from the room to the pool and ocean. The bathroom was actually pretty good once we got the toilet fixed.

Don’t waste your money on this place! Unbelievable how many times the staff will tell you it will working tomorrow, 3 days later still no AC in our room, 85 degrees! No compensation for it, non whatsoever. How this resort got rated 4 stars is a lie!

AC in the room did not work until day 7 of our seven day stay, Breakfast was good, we stuck to omelettes and yogurt, we passed dinners at the hotel as the selection was limited, and the taste was bland. We opted to go out to the zona romantica for dinners.

The location is good but there aren’t any other good things to say about it. The woman at check in was rude and annoyed to be having to help us. We left without any information about the resort. Service at pool bar was very slow. There were never enough pool or beach chairs. Food options are very limited and mostly buffet style which means you will be eating a lot of cold food. By the second day we got food poisoning. Stuck in our room there was a domestic disturbance in the hall where a woman was being hit pretty badly. I tried to have the front desk send someone up to check on her and they hung up on us 5 TIMES! The hotel is old and run down. Will not stay here again. I hear the fiesta Americana next door is super lovely and will be staying there next time.

Overall Krystal Vallarta is a great vacation place. The food is typical resort food, everyone can find something to eat. The service was very good. Jaime and Victor at concierge were extremely helpful, Ramone made excellent drinks. Manuel, and Carlos stood out as great servers, and Alberto, the manager at the palapa went out of his way to be helpful. There were plenty of bathroom and bar areas to service everyone and the pools were beautiful overlooking the beach. Like most resorts they could definitely put in way more lounge chairs by the pool at the palapa. The location is also very convenient; a short ride from the airport, a bus stop right by the resort and a shopping center for money exchange and conveniences right beside it. My only disappointment was that on our last day we had to forfeit our inclusive wrist bands by noon but we didn’t fly until 5:30 so we were just cut off for the day. It was inconsistent with what had happened with another couple two days prior who were able to retain their wrist bands for the day with no charge.

Great staff. Very attentive. All inclusive is great value. Drinks non stop if that’s what you’re after. Food is nice but very basic and lukewarm most times. Room was very nice but walls paper thin. Kept awake all night by tv next door. If you’re ok with no sleep then rest of the place is great. Pools a bit hard to get a chair if you’re not early up

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Ground floor broken/unable to lock sliding door(makes you wonder if we didn’t notice would someone tip someone off), filthy everywhere. Hair in the sheets, burn marks in furniture, bathtubs absolutely disgusting. Drinks terrible. My whole family got sick! Front desk had zero information upon check in, unfriendly. This hotel should be decommissioned.

Very dated property. 3rd pool is decommissioned. Only provided one A-la-Carter’s restaurant visit for entire 11 day stay. Food is horrible. Completely disregard positive reviews, they are certainly fake.

It was the worst experience ever. First night our bathroom was flooded from the bathroom upstairs. Water coming from the light fixtures. Manager switched us to another room with soaking wet walls and mold inside the closet. They moved us again to a temporary room so we could sleep. Next day, they put us in a room that smelled like paint where we stayed until our departure. Food was tasteless and no variety. Every day the same boring thing. On our third night, a raccoon family of five were inside the dinning room. No one bother to chase them out. Management NEVER contact us to make things better, on the contrary, they avoided us at all cost. I can’t stress enough how bad this place is. Nothing like the pictures. False advertising. Expedia should do their job and make sure they are selling is what is advertised. We have no plans on buying anything that Expedia sells they don’t do their due diligence.

The ocean view was beautiful from my room. Everything else was terrible and unpleasant to stay. Asian food was terrible. It does not taste like Asian foods at all. Italian food was very basic. It tasted like frozen food from Costco. The main lobby was terrible layout. It was too hot and not enough sitting area. I would not recommend it for anyone.

I enjoyed the service and kinndness of most staff, the good was great and the live music was relaxing. I dislike that policies and rules where not enforced when people didn't follow them. This made my stay uncomfortable many times.
