Fantastic hotel.Posted 27-Feb-2014
This is the best hotel in Puerto Vallarta. The staff were super friendly and caring. Will go back again. Oh, one thing... If you are not interested in the timeshare presentations, just let the staff know and they will not bug you. Additionally, do not take the paid tours/activities that is provided by the hotel (company located in the hotel)... you will regret that.

5 Star Service and FacilityPosted 27-Feb-2014
Pros: Everything! Food variety and restaurant choices are Top-Notch. All Inclusive for 3 of the 7 days worked very well for our group.
Cons: Could not ask for more!
Location: There are Tours and Activities available for everything you could possibly imagine.
From the excellent, genuine, service from Argelia welcoming us and following up on ANY needs that we had for 7 days, to Victor's bell service and transportation needs to Ceasar behind the bar in Blanca Blue along with the diligent Pool Staff, we Wanted for NOTHING! I felt like I couldn't Tip the staff Enough. The House Keeping staff was soooo polite and courteous. Truly first class service!

Gorgeous hotel!! Great service.Posted 27-Feb-2014
Garza blanca is one of the most beautiful hotels in puerto vallarta. The rooms are spacious with breathtaking views of banderas bay. The service can be a bit slow however the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We loved our stay and will return next year!!

Needs just a bit more fine turning for excellencePosted 21-Feb-2014
Pros: Lovely, large rooms with beautiful amenities, great views of the Bay and a nice, clean, sandy beach.
Cons: Pool areas are barely adequate. Main dining room food portions too small and not good value. They miss on the food price point.
Location: Convenient bus connections north to Vallarta and sout to Mismaloya. Hiking, fishing and many water sports close at hand.
We had a wonderful time staying at the Garza Blanca resort. Infrastructure was well maintained and staff were friendly, accomodating and hard working.

Amazing: Property, Room, and ServicePosted 20-Feb-2014
Pros: The room was amazing
Location: Take a water taxi from Boca De Tomatlan to Yelapa. Fun laid back day.
I am an exec. for a major resort company in Las Vegas that owns some of the finest large scale luxury properties in the world. In my opinion the Garza Blanca is a world class property. I have been to Puerto Vallarta two times prior to this trip and have been to several other Mexican resorts in Cabo and Cancun. I love the culture, people and the food. One thing I believe to be part of Mexico's charm is the laid back atmosphere and a level of design and construction that are more about functionality than detail. The Garza Blanca however delivers on the highest standards with attention to detail in both service and most spectacularly in its design and construction. No corners seemed to have been cut with a high quality of detail found throughout everything. From my experience, it is very hard to stay the course and very expensive to build at this level (no matter where) unless all decisions are viewed from the lens of making a world class resort. If you are looking to surround yourself in luxury for a great vacation I can't see how you could go wrong staying at the Garza Blanca.

Won't recommend hotelPosted 19-Feb-2014
Pros: The check in personnel in lobby
Cons: Service personnel
Location: Lovely location! Check in at 4:00 and hours hunting for my room in was too late for any adventures. With a 11:00 check out it's not worth staying.
I own a condo close to Garza Blanca and have rented my unit for 3 months this winter. I would spend at least 7 nights a month at Garza that is until my last night Feb. 16-17, 2014. I booked a Junior Suite in the newer building. The numbering of the units makes finding rooms extremely frustrating. My luggage had to be located which took 1 hr. Logging on to Internet was delayed for 2 hr. because my name was mis spelled. Construction noise instead of hearing the ocean. The room was NOT prepared and the coffee pot didn't work. The concierge kindly offered coffee be brought to room and was expected to pay for the room service. I was given until 12:00 to check out and if check in is after 4 and check out is 11:00 that's a 7 hr " nightly" and NO hotel gets away with charging full price on 7 hr. Hire more house keepers so rooms can be cleaned and guests don't have to be ripped off. It's a loss / loss in a beautiful facility ruined by untrained and rude service personnel.

Great PlacePosted 16-Feb-2014
We stayed the week of February 8 - 15. The weather was spectacular - mid-80's for the highs and mid-60's for the lows. The resort is top notch. We stayed in Tower 4 on the mountainside in one of the the 1-bedroom panoramic view suites. It has to be one of the finest rooms we ever stayed in. The view from the oversized balcony is tremendous. The room had great features and was very clean & comfortable. The whole facility is beautiful.

A Dream Vacation!!! I was in tears when I left!Posted 16-Feb-2014
Pros: I loved that you got such personal attention - Attention to detail is everywhere! We were constantly noticing the little extras everywhere. Stunning!
Cons: We got a kick out of the English translations of many menu items - one was made with veal "juice" :/ maybe have an American review the descriptions?
Location: With the time share discount we did the Sea Safari excursion and it was a day I will never forget - UNBELIEVABLE food, sights, experiences & memories!
I had high expectations to begin with because of the high reviews so when we arrived I expected a few things to be 'wrong' because of some reviews - well, they must be reading these and constantly improving because I didn't experience even one thing negative. The facilities are breathtaking and made us really feel we'd entered paradise - the feeling you want for a relaxing vacation. We opted to pay for meals since we wanted a few daily excursions and would not be at the hotel anyway for a couple of meals and we don't drink so I thought we made a good choice. Even with this option it is difficult to spend less than $100 per day for meals so plan for that. Everyone said the staff were there ready to please - this worried me- I didn't want staff that were too fussy and too nice - esp. if it came across fake... they weren't - it was genuine kindness and helpfulness and I cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They went above and beyond to arrange a kayak trip to Los Arcos for us (no charge) and it was not on the schedule! Take advantage of the hotel 'trips' - they have an amazing hike to gorgeous waterfalls and we swam in a fresh spring pool! It was amazing. Safety was in mind too - they had law enforcement there at the end of the hike to ensure everyone is kept safe and I was impressed with that. The food by the pool is THE best! Good prices and delicious and gorgeous views and sounds right on the ocean. The time share stuff was annoying but not terrible.
Bud luck I guess . . . .Posted 12-Feb-2014
