Positives: the pools are great for kids and the restaurant has good quality food. Negatives: the beds are VERY hard so we didn't get a single nights good sleep during our stay. Also there was an incredibly loud party behind the hotel two nights in a row so our kids had to move to our room (we're talking nightclub-level loudness...) The food in the restaurant is good but the staff seems miserable and also we had random items added to our bill a couple of times (possibly accidentally, but no matter what, it's annoying to feel you need to scrutinize your bill) Yes there is a beach, but it's not fit for swimming due to algae and rocks. The whole week we did not see a single person in the water. Overall this hotel has a lot of facilities but it feels a bit old and tired, and the rooms are fairly basic.

Linda vista y personal amigable.
El hotel es muy bonito y el servicio del personal lo hizo excepcional, principalmente la atención del personal del bar (Rocco y Geuseppe) quien hicieron amena las noches de mi estancia, su amabilidad de otro mundo. Lo que menos me gusto fue que al hotel le falta mantenimiento y limpieza.

The staff was very friendly. Francesca was extremely helpful with a medical issue my wife had. We will return. Take the bus into town to avoid taxi fees. Highly recommended.

Cheerful, very helpful staff - great breakfast and dinner (with salad and dessert buffets, good wine) right there, beautiful view across the harbor from the dining area - nice pool - spacious, clean room - workout path around the property - 10 min drive to the ferry. Not really walkable. You need a car.

The hotel was faultless, everything was perfect and the service was exceptional. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The receptionists were especially helpful and organised lots of activities for us.

pretty but not conveniebt
Beautiful resort type hotel with pool, tennis courts, beach, walking trails, etc. but too far our of Portoferraio unless you have car. Expensive t axis to see sites and get to and from ferry. Also must eat at resort since it is the only restaurant within walking distance.

Not that great experience
Not friendly check-in, leaking shower which flooded the room not different room was offered instead receptionist asked me to clean it myself and provided extra towels!! Next day new room was provided but still not impressed. Overcharged for kids water, and charged for kids food which we never purchased. Kids area not great, but staff looking after kids and entertainment very polite and friendly. Location great, free beaches away also fab and swimming pool nice.

Enjoyed the stay
The hotel is located on the other side of the port from Portoferraio. We took a cab to get there and it was ~15 Euro. It is a little ways out of town so if you want to do something off site, you need a car or taxi. We wanted to go to Monte Capanna which was an hour away. The hotel clerk gave us a bus schedule and we were able to get there easily and comfortably. The evening meal at the hotel wad tasty but make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. We did not but they managed to squeeze us in. The only thing that I did not like was the blow dryer. You had to keep your finger on the switch or it would turn off.

The pros & cons of Hotel Airone
Pros: Friendly staff, nice grounds, kid friendly, nice pool area. You can rent boats on the beach. Good breakfast included in the room. Cons: Tired rooms needing an update, air conditioner did not function well, mediocre beach, very poor wifi. You are removed from everything which will require a taxi or bus to get anywhere--this could be considered a pro or a con, as it's peaceful.

Wonderful hotel on A beautiful island
This hotel/resort has plenty of facilities to stay entertained for several days. The staff were very polite and helpful. The pools are great. The on premise Beach is only OK. I recommend that people make use of their other beach locations

Ok - facilities all shut
Not very much to do as the pool and all facilities were shut in April - not mentioned anywhere prior to booking. It was ok but given that we were there in low season, I think it was overpriced. It may be different in high season when everything is open. They don't have tennis rackets which was really odd so if you want to use the court bring your own or pay 22EUR per hour to use the neighboring tennis clubs. Staff were friendly.

Nice hotel in Alba.
I stayed for two nights. The hotel has all the ammenities, however I had a car and toured the island while I was there. The hotel is extremely nice and very comfortable for families.

great place to stay with a great parc surrounding it. very friendly staff and clean as well as spacious rooms. we chose to have dinner there too and the food was really great. would definitely love to come back.

Vennlig og service innstilt personale. Rommene er litt slitne og aircon virker fryktelig dårlig. Kaldeste vi fikk rommet til var 22,5 grader om natta. Stranda tilhørende hotellet er ubrukelig å bade på. Skarpe steiner og mudder. En liten båttur unna fikk vi ordentlige bademuligheter. Underholdning i felles området på kvelden var så høyt at du hørte det over hele området. Unødvendig høyt nivå. Vil du bade i sjøen velg et annet Hotel.

La climatisation est bloquée à 24 degrés et on ne peut la baisser. Il faisait très chaud et humide dans la chambre et malgré mes demandes répétées, ils n’ont pu régler la situation. Le petit déjeuner est ordinaire.

Schöner Aufenthalt in Elba
Das Hotel liegt in einem riesigen Park und vom Zimmer aus hat man eine schöne Aussicht. Unbedingt Zimmr mit Balkon buchen. Es hat uns sehr gefallen, ausser z.B. man hört in der Nacht bis 23h Musik und Gesang vom Unterhaltungsprogramm beim Restaurant. (dies ist jedoch nur an einzelnen Tagen, nicht jeden Abend) die Zimmer sind sehr gross, die Einzelbetten jedoch könnten grösser sein. Das Frühstück war von guter Qualität jedoch jeden Tag das gleiche. Wenig Fleisch zur Auswahl und statt jeden Tag scrambled eggs aus der Dose hätte ich doch auch mal Spiegeleier bevorzugt. Ansonsten jedoch alles ok. Beim Strand vom Hotel ist es jedoch nicht möglich im Meer zu baden, zu schmutzig. Das Hotel hat jedoch einen riesige Salzwasserpool mit genügend Liegestühlen auch wärend der Hochsaison. Auch haben sie Wassertaxis zum Bagnaia Strand . alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das hotel ist abgelegen und man braucht unbedingt ein Auto um sich fortzubewegen. Es gibt keine Restaurants in fussläufiger Distanz, nur das Hotel Restaurant.

Ottimo hotel nel verde vicino Portoferraio
Hotel molto bello in ottima posizione vicino Portoferraio (bella la vista sul borgo dalla sponda opposta). Animazione fantastica sempre presente e attiva con grandi e piccoli. Personale cortesissimo e disponibilissimo. Ottima colazione e cibo in genere. Il mare risente della vicina laguna quindi non realmente utilizzabile, ma le piscine a ridosso della spiaggia sono molto belle e sopperiscono alla grande, oltre alla possibilità di usufruire delle due spiagge attrezzate convenzionate con l’accompagnamento in battello incluso per una delle due. Le stanze sono confortevoli immerse nel verde, abbastanza pulite anche se la pulizia è migliorabile. Bello anche il parco/laguna con il percorso fitness.
