Such great hosts and a fantastic sea front setting. Great base to visit Split with a bus stop on the doorstep. You will have your own parasol to position on the beach once you have finished exploring Split or make use of the free paddle boards! Definitely recommend!

Location is fantastic, right on the beach, free sun loungers and umbrella as well as use of a paddle board. Beaches here are rocky so we bought some swimming shoes in nearby Omis, which worked a treat. The owners were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they take care of a lot of lovely details that make the stay enjoyable. Also the breakfast is incredible! Parking is a bit tight and you need good driving skills sometimes to go in and out. Rooms were nice and very clean. View of the sea from the balcony was awesome. There is a supermarket just crossing the road and a little fridge in the room in case you need it. Wifi connection is great! So is an extra point for this place. It is definitely in my list to come back in the future, we had a lovely and relaxing holidays here. Thank you for making this possible (:

Amazing location! Staff is friendly helpful and goes the extra mile. Sun chairs umbrellas and even a paddle were available free from Pansion Zanic! Loves the reception / foyer sitting area - fantastic views of the ocean. Highly recommend staying here!

One of my all time favourites - this is my fourth stay and I am coming back at the end of my trip. Staff are always so helpful and the location is right on the beach. A couple of supermarkets close by and the bus stop right outside on the main road. There are plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas to use on the beach and there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Just the perfect location far away from the busy centre of Split. Highly recommend apartment Zanic - I have loved every stay.

We had an amazing stay, the owners of the villa as well as their entire staff were nothing short of incredible. Always willing to help and inform. They keep their place extremely clean and nice. It is worth mentioning that the room is a little on the smaller side. So, pack lightly.

Nice stay in split
There was a problem with our reservation they had over booked the location. They were able to let us know before we got there and had a solution with another property that they owned. The location owners meet us to make sure we ok with the changes which is a great customer service. Parking is good at the location. The breakfast is a basic continental. The beach a short walk great restaurants to choose from on the beach. You can take a bus on to split about a 15 min ride the bust stops across the street. Just a note the bus is very crowded coming back around 4 would suggest coming back after 6

lovely location 12 steps down to the beach. all the staff were very nice,rooms were very clean with balcony overlooking the sea.bus service every 15 minutes into split cost £1.60. there are 4 restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. excellent for a relaxing holiday, will definitely go back.

Oasis in Podstrana
We stayed for 3 nights and fell in love with this place and the area. What an awesome getaway from the hustle/bustle of Split. Our room was literally steps from the beach (rocky beach so bring aqua socks!). The hostess who greeted us (Mariana) was super friendly and helpful. She even did a load of laundry for us, which was appreciated. Beach towels were lent out and guests had access to umbrellas and beach chairs. There was even a kayak you could use. The room itself was small but had everything we needed. It was clean, air con worked great and had the best wifi we've had throughout our whole 10 day trip of Coatia! The best part - the view of the ocean. Totally coming here again and recommend it to everyone!

Don’t miss this Croatian gem on the water!!
Lovely spot with awesome sea views and private beach (if you don’t mind many stairs!) Exceedingly welcoming and helpful hosts!! And big bonus in the terrible heat of this summer was private, shaded parking!! No nearby shopping but many good restaurants in easy walking distance, many ON the beach! Very close to Split, but away from congestion- strongly recommend! We stayed in 3 hotels in Podstrana and this was the best.

The views from the room are exceptional
We enjoyed our stay very much. You will love the views and you walk out strait onto beach. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. If you want to just chill out on beach and get away from hustle and bustle you will love it here. There are restaurants and a couple of shops close by. Thanks very much to our hosts for a wonderful holiday.

Perfect for relaxation
We have just got back from a lovely 10 days in Podstrana and had an amazing time at Villa Zanic. The apartment was lovely, nice big bed and literally down a few steps before we were on the beach. The beach was kept lovely and clean and having free sunbeds and umbrellas was amazing. The staff could not do enough for you and made our stay very comfortable. Would recommend to couples/ families/ anyone that is looking for a perfect getaway were you can enjoy sun, sea and not too far from the beautiful sights in Croatia.

Fantastic.. Matteo and his family were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was to much trouble.. breakfast was superb, and well catered for, and if you wanted something different Matteo was always keen to oblige ... the rooms were spotless clean and well maintained.. this was our first break in Croatia... the people are welcoming, the local restaurants are superb, just a few minutes walk along the beach path to all of them... none were expensive, great value for money... try the seafood risotto at Amigos... it's superb... this is a place where you feel safe and can relax... it is superb... Split is 20 minutes by bus , about £3,it's well worth going ,,, you will not be disappointed. Overall a fantastic break..I can highly recommend..

We arrived late and were met for late check in, which was good. However, the next morning when I tried to shower there was no hot water (even though I had turned the hot water switch on a few hours before my shower). The bathroom is incredibly small, as in, the door would only open to a 90 degree angle because it was hitting the toilet. Additionally, very few of the TV channels were working (we don’t usually watch TV on vacations but the weather was horrible and it was the only other thing to do.) Lastly, this place is about a 30 minute drive (if not more with all the traffic) from Split, so it takes some planning to sightsee as there is hardly anything around the hotel/area.

The owners of this hotel were wonderfully welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Our hotel rooms opened onto balcony that overlooked the beach. We feel asleep listening to the gentle lapping of the water. Would love to go back and spend longer than one night.

Lovely studio apartment on the beach
Stunning location in Split with patio with table and chairs. Minimal kitchen--basically small dorm-style frig and two burner stove. but there are gorgeous restaurants up and down the beach--so why cook?

We loved this place
We had a wonderful time here. We were going just to stay 2 days and the remaining 5 days of our vacations in other places, but decided to stay here afraid that we won’t be able to find anything better. This is family owned and managed, and they go the extra mile to be sure you have a great time. Literately 10 steps from the beach, small but wonderful beach. The breakfast is not a buffet as we know it but more like a “personal” buffet on your table, with all fresh ingredients. The rooms seem recently renovated, with new and solid doors windows and shades, and have a wonderful balcony where you can see the sea and of course the sunset. Location was perfect for us. This place is few miles from Split and there is bus service in case you need. We rented a car and there is a parking lot o n site, a little tight for the “American” standard parking lot size, but there is a bigger lot right across the street. The beach is wonderful and if that is what you are looking for, you don’t need to go nowhere else. There are some restaurants around and supermarkets

Lovely small hotel by the sea.
We found this hotel through Expedia and it proved to be a little gem. Remember this is simply a 3 star hotel. We have to tell you that we have been in 4 star establishments that couldn't hold a candle to this one. The room was clean, big enough, excellent bathroom and we'll stocked with coffee, tea, etc. The balcony was really welcome and allowed relaxing "sun" time in private. It also had a lime tree growing part way in front that allowed some shade in the hottest times of the day. Much appreciated. The beach (shingle) was next to the hotel with the sea 5m away. The breakfast was really good and substantial. The staff were excellent and VERY helpful. We had a major breakdown in our hire car. At 10pm the staff came out to help us deal with a repair man and get us back on the road. The hotel owner drove us to a restaurant high in the hills and difficult to get to then picked us up after the meal without any charge. Beat that if you can! There were 5 restaurants, from high price to low, within a 300m beach stroll in either direction. Watching the sunset from our bacony was awesome. All in all an excellent experience for us and we would recommend this hotel to you.

Fantastic apartments ,with a beach front location . The family who own it , take great care of their guests and also provide a lovely breakfast for a small charge. Plenty of restaurants on the beach and a short bus ride to split or omis. A perfect place to stay!

Great for beach
If you are looking for a beach hotel then this is ideal as there are simply some steps down and you are on the beach. The hotel has sun loungers and umbrellas for your use. There are a couple of bars to the right and a couple of restaurants to the left, although be aware that these all get incresibly busy in high season. Villa Zanic itself is a quirky place. We had a room only and it was fine for just the one night we stayed, although a little cramped. The staff are absolutely wonderful and couldn't do enough for us.

Great for families
Not really my kind of place but seemed like good deal at the time. Others would love it. Right on the "beach", some Danes there spent ALL day sunbathing and swimming and it does look great for young families. Being Australian and older, my sunbathing beach days are behind me and well it's not my kind of beach. I am not whinging. The people there were very helpful and the cooking facility was convenient and it was clean with comfortable bed, although smallish.

Great beach location
Directly on beach (down 6 steps!) with roomy balcony and great sea view with Brac in distance. Bus stop nearby for Split and Omis, also two good food shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room good size with kitchen facilities, also very clean.

Nice hotel right at the beach!!
Staff it's amazing, right at the beach, room amenities was good and also very very clean (which it's very important to me). It's not close to Split Promenade (a 10 euros Uber each way in average). But it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach!!! 😎😎😎

Villa's staff was wonderful and willing to help. They also can arrange airport pick up and drop off for $30€ each way. It is a family run villa. Cleaning lady was amazing, treated the facility as if she owned it, always offering coffee or tea. Right on the beach, could view beach from terrace. 6 steps sway from the beach. Beach is a pebble stone beach, bring swim shoes as sea is also rocky. 20-30 min bus ride to Split its cost 12 kunas one direction on the dalmatinac bus (a private company, a faster route with A/C) 13 kunas on the local cities yellow busy ( no a/c and a slower route). Many near buy restaurants for food and drinks. Grocery stores a 1min walk. Villa has 2 stove burners and fridge (no oven) cutlery, cups, plates, etc included in room. A city called Omis is in the opposite direction of Split, also a 30min ride costs 14 kunas. Very nice city with a sand beach. Wifi is available, but works in lobby only, however a VIP tourist tariff sim card can be purchased at most tisaks in split for $10€ for a week that includes unlimited data but after 20GB the speed slows down.

Waking up to the sound of the waves
We were very satisfied with this apartment. We have arrived from Manchester very late in the evening with a 4 year old child and wanted an accommodation near Split which would be easy to reach from the airport and allow a quick access to Split old town, plus possible beach. We were very positively surprised by the location of the building very very close to the beach! With the window open we could hear gentle waves splashing on the shore. Just few steps down was a lovely little pebble beach. Staff was very friendly -they waited well after 23:00 for us to arrive from the airport and they explained everything well. Breakfast was not expensive and of a great quality on a terrace with a wonderful view (same as from our apartment). The parking was private and easy as opposed to some problems with the parking which we have encountered later in Croatia. Short driving distance to Split. Also the little beach was very pleasant although with pebbles like the most beaches in Croatia.

This hotel is all you'll ever need for a beach hotel. Walk out to the beach, great owners who can not do enough for you.

Beautiful Escape by the Adriatic Sea.
This was a beautiful villa located directly on the Adriatic Sea. It is close to Split and Trogir, with many outdoor activities available. I spent a beautiful holiday here relaxing by the sea... Villa Zanic is good
It is on the beach side of the road, has its own section of beach and rooms have balconies where you can sit privately if you wish. There are shops, buses and restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff offer information on all of these. It is reasonably priced as apartments have full cooking facilities and plenty of room. We ate at Amigos restaurant, perfectly OK for about £20 each but pricey by Croatian standards. Cetina Gorge is a difficult drive but has lots of locals selling local plonk, meats, cheeses and spirits (quality variable!). Apparently there are good waterfalls but we missed them.

The hotel being right on the beach would be its biggest draw card - literally less than 10m from the water's edge if you book a beach-side apartment as I had. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well (which was a must given the heat in Croatia at the time)

Designer feel near the main station
Hotel was comfortable and classy, near the station but also near the local restaurants and the somewhat hipster Jewish neighborhood. Staff went out of their way to be helpful, breakfast was amazing.

A peaceful place to stay not too far from Split
Can't fault our stay, the staff are lovely and even had the opportunity to upgrade our room which delighted us! Such a peaceful location on the coast with amazing balcony views and only a few steps down to the beach where you can swim and rest on the provided loungers. The self catering facilities are great, everything you need (fridge, kettle, cooker, towels etc) and the rooms are clean with aircon in the apartment. Parking could be a little tight but we managed fine. Already considering when we can go back!

Great location and hotel
Good place to stay, right opposite the sea, fridge and kettle in room which helped. Lovely area although very quiet and not a lot of choice of restaurants at night, though all were very good. If you want a lovely quiet hotel next to the sea this is for you. If you want nightlife, choose Split! Bus was great, just outside the hotel to Split one way and Omis the other. Easy to get around. All in all a lovely holiday.

is more like a hostel, not very professionally run. mateo, the owner is very friendly and tries to help The hotel has access to its own beach which is great. .The rooms are not in great conditon. There is no power in the shower and the toilet had a bad smell which got worse after the second dayOverall even though the location is great not sure i would like to stay here again

Great beach
Great little hotel right off the main road. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is right on a beautiful beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas for laying in the sun. Highly recommend this place. Wish we had stayed longer.
