Was in terrible back pain, end of a long drive from Florida, end of three month trip so outta money .. since we have come back here multiple times on our Florida trips, and the parking lot and hotel were mostly empty I asked if there was any chance she would upgrade us to the suite with the large tub for our sore backs. Didn't have a lot of money left or I would have booked it but thought a nice reward since we've come back there several times. NOPE.
Hmmmm they did it at a Holiday inn Express for us twice in the past just to give some good customer service. I clearly know which chain I'll book with next time!!! Gee when a customer comes in after a very long drive and in pain, a small simple lil gesture like that goes a long way. Or creates a very long memory of where not to stay again! Way to go Michele. Lost a customer over something that would cost you nothing! A customer that goes right by your hotel twice a year on our Florida trip. And employees wonder why they get laid off when a business goes under!
