Perfection in Petty Harbour
The unit is clean, incredibly spacious, and very well appointed with everything you need: the main floor has a large foyer, a huge open dining nook/kitchen/family room area, a work desk, a laundry room, half bath and a huge deck to take in the views. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a full bath with plenty of storage space. The location is steps from the East Coast Trail and right over the water, so you can leave the window open at night to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There's a small general store a few minutes' walk away if you need any staples or beverages. We stayed here for 2 weeks over Christmas- Amelia had a tree setup for us, and the harbour was all lit up... a truly special time. Petty Harbour is a quiet fishing town with easy access to the Goulds for groceries, fuel & restaurants, and it's a short drive to Mt. Pearl for big-box stores or Downtown for all the touristy things on your list. St. John's has some amazing breweries that are worth a visit! Be warned: if you're from out West, the village is quaint, the people are friendly, and the harbour & ocean view can be mesmerizing- you may find yourself staring at the water for an inordinate amount of time, contemplating why you would leave the harbour to return to work, traffic jams, and sky-high cost of living. This place is a gem, we'd love to stay again!

Petty Harbour Gem
We had an amazing stay - Petty Harbour is like a postcard. The vacation rental was beautiful - exactly like the pictures, but it is bigger in person than it looks in the pictures.

Comfortable stay in charming Petty Harbour
Property is at the very end of the southern side of the bay. It is more roomy than the pictures suggest, and is very nicely decorated, with comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and a nice balcony on which to sit and watch the harbor. The town is charming, and Chafes Landing is a good place to eat, with good music on Friday and Saturday night. There is also an ice cream store and a very limited general store. Overall, a lovely choice in Petty Harbor and a great base for a couple of legs of the East Coasy Trail.

First time to Newfoundland!
Staying outside of the centre of St Johns was ideal for our family. We were able to appreciate all things downtown and then retreat to the beauty of Petty Harbour, it really was an amazing experience.

Beautiful Stay
The house was gorgeous, spacious and clean. It is a lot bigger than the photos so it justice. It has amazing views of the harbour and is within 15 minutes of everything, including Cape spear which was our favourite. The hosts also included some nice to haves like soap, shampoo, conditioner, lots of towel and condiments. The only things that surprised us, but aren’t necessarily bad we’re: there is limited parking and it’s a bit awkward. Only really room for 2 cars. While the house can fit 3 families, I wouldn’t recommend 3 cars. We were good with 2. There is no air conditioning upstairs, just on the main. With the baby sleeping we had to have the blinds down and door closed and she would wake up from getting hot. Some fans in the room would have easily solved that. And there is a lot of decoration and vases so we had to hide them and then put them back so that the baby didn’t accidentally knock anything. Overall great stay.
