This hotel was mediocre at best. There was barely any water pressure , noises coming from plumbing. No fan in the bathrooms and the bed was very hard. Renovations make property look much better. Staff was lovely. Walking distance to the beach. Pick your battles they say. For the price we paid…. Not worth it.

Our stay was very pleasant, this is not a fancy hotel, but it is being upgraded. Our room was very nice, the beds ultra comfy, as was the bed linen. The hotel was in a handy space.

Staff was very nice, but I could not remember the PIN for my Visa to put down a security deposit, and I was not allowed to use my Debit Card for this. Extremely disappointing. Ended up having to drive around in the middle of the night looking for an ATM to get cash. I was exhausted and miserable, and you Should have a 2nd option here… pretty damn sure people often forget their PIN’s. Why couldn’t I tap? Still mad about this….

The main area smells like strong chlorine and the 3d floor carpet has a very strong chemical smell. I had to change rooms as it was unsafe to have a non functioning phone and a fridge that had a strong ring. I had to change rooms. The bathrooms are very outdated. The second rooms fridge was also noisy, and the overall experience has been frustrating when all I wanted to do was take a bath and go to bed. I would like a refund

The travel lodge is an older motel, but that should not make others shy away, it has an elevator, efficient and friendly front desk person, is quite and pleasant, It had a lot of availability even later at night and I would stay there again. It is close to downtown.

Pool was only 3 ft. deep, overly chlorinated, with a prickly pool floor, unsuitable for swimming. Toilet wasn't properly attached to the floor, seat not even attached upon arrival. Property was undergoing significant renovations, and the work seemed rushed. The property itself appeared to be in a less than desirable area of town. Not somewhere I would recommend for an enjoyable family trip!

Also, we do apologize that you were not satisfied with the depth of our pool. Our pool maintenance staff did do a pool test immediately after you informing the front desk of the chemical smell. Our chemical readings did come back balanced however, we do apologize if the levels were not comfortable for you. Unfortunately, we cannot change the location in which our hotel is located. We do have security cameras around the entirety of the hotel inside and out, excluding guest rooms and public washrooms, as well as 24hour font desk staff to ensure guest comfortability. The staff was excellent! The room was very clean and well appointed. The poor area was filthy with dirt and debris every time we visited. They’re clearly doing renovations to update the facilities, but areas of the building are falling apart. Dog excrement covering most of the lawn areas, watch your step!

I was very impressed in value for money. Everything is redone and the showers are amazing. It’s clean, staff are very helpful. My only critique is the tv was hard to figure out. Maybe a small card with how to turn on the tv would be helpful. Also the drink venting machine didn’t work otherwise excellent stay and value for the money!

Very very cold room, I called ahead to say I was coming off the Ferry, no foresight by staff to turn the heat on. The heater in room was in poor condition so it blew soft and low temp. All furniture was ice cold, would not move me , was late , light switch is combined with a very loud fan can not separate so very odd.

Average stay but no pool
A very average experience. We were in town visiting family so we didn’t spend much time in the hotel. We saw very few staff members around but we didn’t really need anything so it was fine. Rooms and linens were clean but the bathroom was dated and in need of an update. Water pressure was very bad. Pool was closed which we weren’t informed of before arriving. Breakfast choices were very limited with the only hot option being waffles.

When we entered our hotel room for the first time (december) it was like walking back outside. It was very cold. Could they not put some heat to the rooms they know will be occupied ?! Toilet seat was loose and toilet tank plunger was stuck open. Little things like this speak to the staff and managements give a $H!T factor. Continental breakfast was nice. Hotel is showing its age, although it looks like they may have done some upgrades to the first floor. Fantastic location if you want to be close to a Fantastic beach

For a reasonably priced hotel, this property exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean and included an updated bathroom with lovely shower. The bed was a king and very comfortable, and the hotel was quiet despite being full of young hockey players. Staff was very welcoming and polite.

Check in and check out was reasonable; the complimentary breakfast was nice: the toilet faculty had something to be desired especially if one has limited physical abilities .. the low level of the toilet must have been designed for children not very comfortable
