“Perfect!”

My husband and I stayed for a week at the Hotel Lumen for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect fit for us! As everyone says, the location is unbeatable, we walked absolutely everywhere except from the airport. The staff was more than willing to help us with any question or concern we had. The room was beautiful with complete amenities and a balcony to boot! We absolutely enjoyed our time in Paris and so will you!

“PETITE HOTEL, GRANDE SERVICE!”

This hotel has only 38 rooms. Making the service simply perfection. We prefer smaller hotels because of the quality of service, food, and overall atmosphere. If you want to wait in line like your Vegas, stay at the Hyatt. Hotel Lumen was a great experience. The staff went above and beyond the normal hotel experience!

“Great Hotel in Paris”

Hi All, I am a very frequent Business traveler and I stay in hotels a lot. Its very difficult to find good hotels at a decent rate in Paris. This particular hotel is although superb. The location is excellent, right in the center. Staff is very friendly, and the hotel is very close to some of Paris' main locations and the metro is less then 5 mins walk

“Great staff, Great hotel”

We stayed here with a couple of first-time international travelers. The staff made the experience outstanding, bending over backward to help us enjoy our time in Paris. The location cannot be beaten (1 minute walk from Louvre). I will stay here on all return trips to Paris.

“"Would stay here again"”

We have travelled to many countries, and Paris is by far our favorite. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. The Metro (subway) is a block away, and the staff is very friendly. Rooms are small, but most european hotel rooms are small.

“great place to stay”

The hotel is located very close to the louvre, as well as a number of other sites to see. The restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner. The art deco chairs were not the most comfortable ,but that was quickly forgotten as the staff was so welcoming and the food was great. would stay at this hotel again .

“Great hotel! Perfect location! Great value!”

This hotel is a gem! The location is perfect, and within walking distance of most of the major museums and landmarks. Also, considering it's location, condition, and amenities, it was a very good value for a Paris hotel. It was literally two blocks from the Louvre, and the surrounding shopping and restaurants were great. The neighborhood was just far enough away from all of the other major monuments and the Champs Elysses to be safe. There are a lot of pickpockets and "sheisters" in some of the other neighborhoods closeby that prey on unsuspecting tourists. Our room was an Executive room. It was very modernly decorated, and large with a king sized bed that was very soft and comfortable with the best pillows I have ever slept on in a hotel. it also had separate climate control with a thermostat, which was great! The weather was cold at night when we were there, but our room was always comfortable. The bathroom was large and all marble. Beautiful modern fixtures, also. What I did not understand was that the shower had only a hand-spray shower head. No overhead or wall mounted sprayer. Seemed odd for an "Executive" room. The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful, and fluent in English. They helped us every day to find our way around, and were quick to respond to any request we had for anything we needed. Certainly, the service was "Executive"! I would most definitely return to this hotel!

“Brilliant hotel”

As a first time traveler, alone, without French language and female I was unsure after reading the reviews but Hotel Lumen was absolutely brilliant! New, well appointed bathrooms and lovely rooms. The hotel staff were amazing and could not have tried harder to make my time in Paris a more pleasurable experience. All spoke English and were happy to assist in any way...from booking tours or suggesting sightseeing walks to assisting novice learners with French phrases. I awoke to the chiming of church bells (wonderful!) and was only a block from the tourist center of Paris - The Louvre. At the other end of the street was the Rue di Opera. A truly wonderful location! A tourist bus company is across the street and Expedia shop front around the corner in the Rue di Rivoli. The hotel restaurant provides excellent service and lovely meals. As with everything in the tourist areas of France it is expensive (pot of tea/cup of coffee 5.50e, main meal salad 18e). There may cheaper options but for style, convenience and English language it was great. Book the breakfast with your room as it is much cheaper. I found that the French people in the areas I traveled were very helpful and all spoke English to me immediately upon hearing my accented 'bon jour'. Hotel Lumen has ignited a new love - Paris. I can't wait to get back and will be heading straight to Hotel Lumen!
