Good central location with everything you require. The room was slightly warm and be warned that if staying on the first floor you can hear the rumblings of the metro passing underneath.

Hotel Chateaudun was in a great location for our family vacation. We were able to walk and take the Metro easily to our destinations. The room cleaning service was nicely done daily. The front desk staff is kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

We had a family suite at Hôtel Châteaudun Opéra for 6 nights over New Years' Eve. There are plenty of good dining options available, laundry facilities, and public transport stops within easy walking distance. The staff were very good and spoke enough English for our needs. It's a little far out of the centre of Paris but it's easily walkable as we proved most days of our stay. Rooms were comfortable and possibly above "average Parisian" in size. A few minor inexplicably broken items (e.g. the foot lever on the pedal bin) were bemusing rather than problematic. We also found it a little hot to sleep with only a quilt/doona provided for bed covering - overkill given the efficiency of heating in the room and a simple sheet would likely have been sufficient and more comfortable. Handing the room key to the front desk whenever we left the premises was a bit old school but in some ways it added to the charm. All up, a pleasant stay that facilitated our enjoyment of Paris.

This hotel is built over the metro train line so you can hear it rumbling constantly- we moved to the 5th floor but the noise didn’t disappear- for this reason alone I wtnot recommend

I absolutely LOVED my stay
What a lovely hotel! I so enjoyed my stay and EVERYONE was so kind and were gracious enough to speak English for me since my French is so rudimentary to say the least. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily with fresh towels given. The neighborhood is nice with plenty of restaurants close by and in walking distance. Easy walk to Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and Garnier Opera. The staff even assisted me in getting transportation since I’m intimidated by the Metro (there are Metro stations nearby as well). Luggage storage is available if you should arrive earlier than check in time. My next trip to Paris I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again!

Stayed there twice in one week. 1st time blow dryer didn’t work. 2nd time the A/C and the blow dryer didn’t work. The desk help on the 1st visit was great; the 2nd time...awful.

Great location
The location is great. Near the center of Paris but at the same time it gives you the neighborhood vibe. Great restaurants, bakery’s and cafes near the hotel, Sacre-Coeur at walking distance. The hotel is good, clean, elevator, gym and 24 hour reception.

Our hotel is very well located and offers easy travel to different places while being surrounded by restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The Opera house is 10mn walk by foot. The Sacre coeur Montmartre is 20mn by foot, the metro station is 1 mn walk.

Good value in great location
We loved the location of the hotel, and it was great value for the time of year we traveled. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the room and common spaces were clean and tidy. The two downsides were that we were sometimes woken when other guests went in and out of their rooms late night/early morning - the doors in the hallway slam quite loud and hallway noise traveled very easily into our room (though thankfully we couldn't hear other guests once they were inside their own rooms). I wondered if this could be improved if they put soft close mechanisms on the doors? The second downside was that the TV had only French broadcast TV, we couldn't find stations in other languages. What would be really useful would be updating the TVs to smart TVs so you can log in to your own apps (Netflix, etc). As I'm 8 months pregnant we had early nights on this trip and planned to watch some films before sleeping, which we couldn't do (but I'm guessing most people don't come to Paris to watch TV so perhaps this wouldn't be an issue for most!) All in all I'd stay here again.

Excellent location for walking around Paris. Comfortable room with good air conditioning ( it was 34 degrees!); noise double glazing was great with thick curtains to keep out the light. We had a corner front room overlooking a main road and we were not disturbed at all. Very comfortable bed - we are over 6’. Only down side was that the lift was broken for half of our stay and using the stairs was challenging for my bad knee. But it was eventually repaired. Massive building works opposite which is not the hotels fault but did start at 7.00 am & could be heard in the room. Would stay there again.

Not worth the money
Hotel is located in the nice area of Paris, however pice of the room is not up to par with condition and comfort of it. Bathroom was a disaster. Stainless sink is all rusted. Impossible to adjust water in the shower. Water doesn’t drain from the tub. Tiles are dirty. toilet flush is on the wall, but is not connected properly, and falls every time you flush. Staff is friendly, but it’s not making the room any better.

Good Friendly Hotel - Great Location.
As per title... great location with easy access to all that you would want for Paris - Metro, Buses, Cafés and Restaurants. Staff very helpful, breakfast good and filling. We had a minor issue on arrival which was quickly resolved. Metro noise not really an issue - minor low rumble every now and again. Would definitely be happy to stay there again.

Great location and friendly staff! The problem is there’s no air conditioning but heater in our room. And the room is on Ground Floor which was pretty noisy when you open the window (and don’t feel safe either). They didn’t provide fan at 1st night we stayed. Apart from that, everything was good.

The room was very spacious for a hotel room in Paris. The breakfast was satisfactory at best. What made my stay in this hotel great was it's close proximity to Palais Garnier, which is close to the main sites of the city.

You get what you pay for
Check in was awful. We arrived about an hour early, the gentleman at the desk took my passport and then took a phone call which seemed personal in nature (he claims it was tech support) and talked and laughed on the phone for over twenty minutes while he had my passport. There was a growing line of people which he ignored. I ordered room service which was TERRIBLE and took over TWO hours (for a prepackaged salad and cup of soup) to arrive. The bathrooms smelled musty and the fan didn’t work. The lights also didn’t work correctly and two complaints to the staff yielded no solution, so we were forced to not have decent light for our three night stay.
