It was very clean although there are a ton of marks all over all the walls. The wooden frames in pictures and mirrors are scuffed and worn, the fireplace is missing the whole exterior top piece. The decor is a mishmash of styles. It could do with serious updating on the interiors. Otherwise, it got the job done. Staff were great and the exterior was lovely.

Got an upgrade while checking in. Ended up in the residency. Beautiful room. Very spacious yet homey. Twin fireplace was nice. Back yard with rooftop patio was a nice bonus. Excellent staff. WILL be staying again!

Great location and lots of character. Check in desk didn’t have anyone manning it at afternoon arrival, but process was quick once they arrived after about five minutes. Bathroom had significant mold in the shower and hair dryer was on its last legs. Overall enjoyed our stay based on the location, but for the price, I would expect better maintenance of the rooms.

Stayed in the junior cottage it was very roomy but in a little bit of disrepair, there was some food garbage left under the sink, could use a deep cleaning the windows could be repaired The pocket door could be repaired there was rotted trim in the bathroom I stayed here for one night it was comfortable and the staff was very polite and helpful, The location was convenient for me I was golfing right down the street within walking distance at Pacific Grove golf Links, I feel like it was overpriced for the condition it was in.

I've been staying here for several years, I like the property, and staff. They have decided to cut down on service, and the breakfast has gone from a continental breakfast with choices to breakfast in a bag. The problem with the breakfast in a bag is that everything, except the small apple is full of sugar, a lot of sugar! Many people now have diabetes, and this is a problem for us. One of the main reasons I have stayed here for so many years is the convenience of the breakfast on the property, and the ability to chose what to have without sugar overload. Looks like I may have to make some changes too!

Jr cottage is nice with propane fireplace and small jacuzzi tub in bathroom. Nice large breakfast room with good food for those in cottage area. Outdoor hot tub and swimming pool needs to be resurfaced. Walls are a dingy beige because old. Water looks clean but unappealing so I didn't swim.

Ground front screen door was broken and didn’t lock. Room had no AC and only window is the broken screen door with a view of tombstones. Yes, a cemetery is right there with no wall or fences separating the property.

The website shows $50 for pets. We had a 3lbs little one and we were charged $56. Based on the web pictures we thought there would be fire pits to enjoy but there are 2 sections. The fire pits were on the other side across the street. On our section Some of the rooms face a cemetery. They got swings facing the cemetery which is kinda creepy. The breakfast is not as pics on the site. At the main office they got a section where you can pick up your breakfast. You get a small paper bag with a small apple, snack size granola bar, small apple juice and a muffin. My kids didn't eat them. We Ended up going out for breakfast which defeated the purpose of booking a hotel that offered breakfast.
