Hotel Tokyo Trip was our primary stay for 2 weeks for our vacation to Japan. It was clean, easy to check in and out, close to the Nishi-Nippori train station, spacious(enough), completely functional, affordable, and relatively quiet.
That being said, it is next to a train line that does ramble through often. The room does a decent job muting the sound, but it's not perfect so if you are bothered by noise at all in your hotel room, this wouldn't be for you. We had two full beds and one traditional tatami bed, which did work for the 3 of us adults staying for the duration. Walking space was a little limited with our luggage cases. There's laundry on the 2nd floor, but only handles very small loads and takes a bit of time. It got us through.
Honestly, I'd probably stay again, just likely would use a close-by laundromat instead. :)
They will hold your luggage before check in and after check out, so for us on the last day where check out was at 11am but our flight didn't leave until 8pm, it was a nice benefit. If you arrive before their 9am opening time like we did on day onr, there are coin lockers at the train station down the street. Tons of food options around the hotel, a tattoo-friendly onsen as well not far away, and you're about 15-20 minutes from Tokyo Station. All in all, it's a pretty great stay. :) Thanks for taking good care of us!
