The lady at the desk complained that I made my reservation through Expedia and told me I should have made it directly with them because of the commissions Expedia charges. She also tried to charge my credit card an additional $200. as a security deposit which I adamantly refused and told her I would be contacting Expedia. As I was walking out the door she then told me the $200. was not necessary. This is the first time I experienced such negativity.

Room is fine and clean however the area (parking lot & neighborhood) a bit sketchy. Staff are good to have notices encouraging to bring valuables (ie:bikes) brought into your room

Econo Lodge Vernon is a no frills property. The room is clean and it's good value for what you pay for. If you need a place to sleep, this will suffice. There's a swimming pool that I didn't have the time to check out.

The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is within walking distance to a mall with a grocery store, pharmacy and Dollarama as well as a good selection of restaurants. The staff were cordial and ready to serve.

We found the floor in our room was dirty wasnt washed, went to the pool, came back up was a little wet dripped on the floor, went to wipe the water up and the towels became black, from dirt on the floor. When we came to check in they said our res was cancelled

I was happily suprised that the 2 queen sized beds were in separate rooms. The fridge had a small water leek on the floor which I just laid down a towel to soak up. Just turned down the temp which seemed to help with leeking. Price was good for what I got.
