“Location, location, location”
The hotel is located right in the city centre within walking distance to all attractions. It is surrounded by cozy coffee-shops and various vendors. I took a room on fifth floor, apparently fresh out from renovation. Room design and comfort are very good, on par with any four-star hotel. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is very basic, though.
“An excellent economy hotel”
Zirka, to be sure, is not a luxury place. It is, however, fairly comfortable even though the rooms are small. The hotel is clean, with friendly English-speaking staff.
“Convenient, pleasant”
No complaints. Room small but clean. WIFI worked in room but slow.
“Okay hotel for the price”
This is a budget hotel, very small rooms, no windows in the one I stayed in. If you are looking for somewhere just to sleep then this is fine. Everything is compact so not suitable for people with lots of baggage.

“The price is right.”
The price is right for what is offered. Located at the southwest corner of the downtown rectangle. Served by two trolleybus lines. Good restaurants abound in the vicinity. No wi-fi zone inside the hotel but reception has one public PC with internet connection. The restaurant named Americano Grande is 100 meters away and offers free wi-fi.
“You get what you pay for.”
Very cheap but very small room. Quality of fittings & furnishings poor (eg sliding door to bathroom hanging off its runners), but bed ok. It had air-con, but needed to because there were no windows; however, I was told this on booking. Little car parking nearby - just a few spaces on the road outside the front. Fridge was a bonus, but could have done with the room it took up! This was more like what I imagine a hostel to be like, except it was 'en-suite'. It also had a lift & English was spoken in the small reception area. The city centre is about a 20 min. walk & there is public transport nearby. There is no breakfast or other services available, but if you want a cheap room with no frills(& reasonably clean) to get your head down for a night or so, then this should fill the bill. If you want something a bit better,you could pay a bit more for a better room at this hotel; I had an 'economy' room.
“Spartan but ok”
This hotel is "ok." The people are nice and helpful there. You should not stay there if you want a luxury hotel. It is minimal in terms of comfort. The room had a table and a bed, a sink and a shower, and a small fridge and local tv. It is NOT an American hotel. Do not expect the Marriott.
“In the middle of everything”
Small rooms, fridge, hot water, no daily room service. Centrally located, close to everything. Nice people at reception, very helpful. Hot/cold drinking water at each floor.
“Zirka is a nice Ukrainian, not American, hotel”
The rooms are small, but adequate. Wi-fi is available in the lobby.
