Dallachulish Lodge by Loch Creran

Dallachulish Lodge sits in an elevated position above beautiful and fascinating Loch Creran. The Loch is a Marine Special Area of Conservation with a wide range of marine habitats and species.

Dallachulish Lodge boasts a large welcoming kitchen with wood burning stove, a six seat dining table with adjoining sun room, TV lounge, reading room and upstairs three lovely bedrooms and a large bathroom making this the perfect place to stay to explore the West Coast and Islands.

The views from all the bedrooms and main rooms are stunning – looking across Loch Creran towards Glen Creran and the surrounding mountains.

Cycling, walking and fishing are right on your doorstep. The A85 is less than a mile away and leads south to Oban – with ferries leaving for the Isles – and north to Fort William, Glencoe and so much more. A short drive or a cycle away is the passenger ferry to the lovely small island of Lismore.

The spacious kitchen has sofa seating around a wood burning stove at one end, a large dining table in the centre and a well equipped kitchen area with windows that look down over Loch Creran. A door to one side leads to a bright sun room with comfortable seating to enjoy the views.

The downstairs hallway leads to the lounge with patio doors opening out to the front of the house and a spacious decked seating area. This hallway also leads to a quiet reading room and a bathroom, ( bath and WC.) and stairs to the upper floor and the bedrooms.

Upstairs to the Creran View room, a large Master bedroom with King size bed, lovely view out to the Loch with ensuite – a shower over a jacuzzi bath which has 2 high windows to see the stars. The Creagan room has a double bed, large wardrobe and Fasnacloich room has twin beds and a large wardrobe. These two bedrooms also have superb views to Loch Creran and share a very spacious – with shower over bath – bathroom.

Downstairs, at the entrance is a utility (washing machine & tumble dryer) and boot drying room, and also a separate shower room with wc & basin.

Cycle or canoe storage is available and there is plenty of private parking to the rear of the Lodge. This is shared with the owner Ross and his working collie Moss, who live in a converted barn adjacent.

Incredible week in the Highlands!
Our stay at Dallachulish Lodge exceeded all expectations. Dorothy and Ross were friendly, responsive and eager to help. I can't come up with the words to describe how beautiful the setting along the lake was. We spent a week here using the house as a base to explore the Highlands. The location was great for accessing a lot of different areas, and was a very quiet refuge to return to in the evening. We would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique place to stay on your next Scottish adventure.

Terrific place in ideal location for Highlands exploration
The view from the house is terrific for early morning and late evening moments taking in the vistas. The location was ideal for us to explore Oban, Mull, Ft William, Ft Augustus, and Glencoe within one week. The house itself is cozy and roomy for family to enjoy their time together. Great sized kitchen area and great to have access to washer/dryer.

This beautiful house is fully decked out.
Huge house, chefs kitchen, with 3 ovens 8 burners 2 living rooms, two sitting rooms 4 full baths (one with shower instead of tub). Delightful fireplace and absolutely epic views of Loch Creran. It’s close to plentiful hiking, biking and wonderful restaurants. Also not far from Oban, Glencoe, or even Fort William. There are tons of hiking opportunities, distilleries, and great restaurants nearby. And the ferry from Appin to Lismore is only 15 minutes away and it is only a 5 minute ride with some stunning views from the hike. We saw eagles, otters, butterflies, seals, and more plus relaxing with a whiskey overlooking the loch, doesn’t get better. Very responsive and friendly owner Ross, and a delightful friend to everyone Moss.
