There are five stateroom options onboard the Norwegian Star: Suite, Mini-Suite, Balcony, Oceanview, and Inside staterooms. The Mandara Spa® and Salon offer many packages that include massages, aromatherapy, acupuncture, and thermal treatments. There's also a Thalasso Therapy Pool, specialty BOTOX and ELEMIS treatments available, and hair and nail salon services. The Barong Fitness Center, open from 6am to 11pm, is equipped with rows of fitness machines and offers a variety of daily aerobics and fitness classes.

Norwegian Cruise Line ensures that all ships are kid-and-teen-friendly. At Splash Academy, supervised activities are divided based on age-group: Guppies (6 months to 3 years old), Turtles (ages 3 to 5), Seals (ages 6 to 9) and Dolphins (ages 10 to 12). Activities include arts and crafts, Circus School, team-building activities and sports, video games, scavenger hunts, themed nights, and more. Teens get their own Teen Club space which turns into a fun dance club at night (all complimentary and supervised, of course).
