Staterooms on board the Norwegian Joy have recently been upgraded and are now more spacious than ever. Concierge suites feature luxury accommodations, concierge service, and come with a private breakfast. All suite categories come with exclusive access to a Haven dining room, the Observation Lounge, and the Haven Courtyard. This is a nice lounging spot as it has its own pool and hot tub, as well as a private sun deck with cabanas. Inside staterooms are the most affordable option on board, and since their recent refurbishment, they’re quite spacious and still come with the usual amenities and room service you’d find with all stateroom categories.

With it being one of the most recently built and refurbished ships in the fleet, the Joy has a wide variety of brand-new activities that don’t disappoint. There’s a giant go-kart racetrack on the top deck, as well as galactic-themed laser tag arena, mini-golf, and more. One of the most innovative attractions onboard is the Galaxy Pavilion, with a Dark Ride 7D, a racing simulator racecourse, along with an animated 3D video screen that’s totally interactive. The Aqua Park is also bigger than ever with a double loop waterslide, an Aqua racer slide, a kids’ aqua park, and multiple pools and hot tubs. The three main dining rooms: Savor, Taste, and Manhattan, serve a variety of global dishes that change daily so you can always try something new. Check out brand new restaurants onboard the Norwegian Joy, like Q, which serves up authentic Texas BBQ dishes, where a live country band performs every night, making it a lively spot to dine. Stop by the American Diner for classic American comfort food like burgers, fried chicken and more, while being seated on a car-themed table. Those staying in Haven suites can also enjoy a private complimentary dining experience at The Haven Restaurant.

The Observation Lounge is a beautiful space to lounge and drink, with a full-service bar and 180-degree panoramic views of the sea. Guests over 18 can hang out at the Ibiza summer beach party-inspired spots, The Vibe Beach Club, or Spice H2O. The District Brew House offers over 50 bottled beer varieties, while the A-List Bar serves up hand-crafted margaritas and is named after the President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, Andy Stuart. For smoking guests, there’s the only cigarette-permitting space onboard, the Humidor Cigar Lounge, where you can grab a whiskey or sit on the lavish leather chairs and socialize.

Only on the Norwegian Joy can you see the hit production Footloose, a must-see while cruising. Wine Lovers The Musical is an adults-only show that combines wine tasting with a musical comedy about the joys of wine. ELEMENTS! is a dazzling show that integrates the four elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire into enchanting dance, magic and aerial acrobatic performances. There’s also a Social Comedy and Night Club onboard, open ‘til late every night, as well as a Cavern Club, that recreates the Liverpool club where the Beatles performed.

The Mandara Spa® and Salon offers many packages that include massage, aromatherapy, acupuncture, and thermal treatments. Try out the unique 24 Karat Facial or get a Fire & Ice manicure or pedicure at the salon. The Pulse Fitness Center is equipped with rows of fitness and iron-pumping machines and offers a variety of classes like indoor spinning classes, as well as Pilates and Yoga classes.

Norwegian Cruise Line ensures that all ships are kid-and-teen-friendly. At Splash Academy, supervised activities are divided based on age-group: Guppies (6 months to 3 years old), Turtles (ages 3 to 5), Seals (ages 6 to 9) and Dolphins (ages 10 to 12). While there, you can get a complimentary 15-minute makeover using the products that are sold. The Tides sells luxury gifts and leather goods by brands like Gucci, Ted Baker, Chanel, Dior, and more.
