“Incredible value”
One of the largest rooms I've stayed in (as far as a "standard room" goes). Trendy lobby, friendly/helpful customer service, and quiet, spacious room! Had stayed in an Aloft in Birmingham and, thankfully, found this one at Dulles....even hit a "weekend" rate. All in all, well-worth it.

I can't imagine a nicer hotel based on the rate we paid. The 9 foot ceilings made the room feel extra large - very unique layout and comfort, the lobby, pool, outdoor sitting area were very nice. Will stay here from now on when visiting family in the area.
“My Stay At the Loft”
I loved the modern style of the room and the hotel, I bought the package that included cocktails and continental breakfast. I feel that it was a very good deal and everything was quite enjoyable. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I liked all the things Aloft had to offer, and I most definitely will return.

Hotel is only 6 months old, and everything is brand new- the bar is a great place to relax in the evening, and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely be staying here again when next in DC.

“ALOFT gives a lot!”
This was a great place to stay during our trip to Washington. It is 15 minutes to Dulles airport and the air & space museum and about a half hour to downtown with all the attractions. This hotel opened in Feb.09 and is in an area that is still being developed. As a result, you have to travel away from the hotel for dining and other things. Being fairly new, it had a couple of house keeping issues like a sliding door to the washroom that wouldn't stay closed and a noisy a/c unit. There are only showers in the rooms. If you want a tub, you have to request a handicap room. The rooms have fouton style beds, big screen tv's, WiFi and mini fridges. The front desk people couldn't do enough for me. They were always pleasent and took my housekeeping issues with a smile and acted on them right away. They were knowledeable about the area and had maps and driving suggestions when I needed them. I really enjoyed the trendyness of this hotel. It gave me a 5 star feel for a great price. I booked for 3 nights and got my room for 50% off. Maybe that deal will be around when you go. I definately recommend this as a family and dog friendly place to stay.
“Enjoyable--ultra modern design”
Totally different atmosphere. Modern design and furniture. Open main lobby. Neat small bar. The LCD panels in the floor of the elevators was something totally different.
“Good overnight stay near Dulles Airport.”
The room was modern, spare, streamlined and functional, just right for people in transit, which we were, our flight was late, arrived mid-evening, the airport van arrived shortly after our call. We were met by our daughter the next morning so needed no additional transportation, thankfully, because it was a long way from anywhere, I imagine a taxi would be expensive. Everything worked, was clean, no odor, and the heating system was most efficient. They have an awesome cappuccino machine in the lobby, also prepared foods for sale, all at reasonable prices. If this is the new trend in designing hotels, I like it, except for the exposed pipes in the hall ceilings, they were barely camouflaged and the draped fabric gave it a cheap look; their designer needs to take a lesson from the folks who do the Starbucks decorating.
