"Great hotel for a night stop over, easy to get to on the bus from the airport, comfortably beds. Ask for a high room, saw Aurora from r9om briefly. Late checkout on a Sunday was a great surprise, just ask for it! 6pm which was perfect for our boat to Skjervoy all in all a great stopover"

"The breakfast buffet was delicious. Dinner at roast was the best, super convenient to have dinner in the hotel after a long day of exploring. The hotel is super centralized and walkable around the city, even in the cold climates. Highly recommend for couples or families. "

"Thon hotel is exceptional. The staff are excellent, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. There is a sitting area in reception, including sofas and complimentary hot drinks from a Nespresso machine. You can buy snacks, drinks, hire power packs and chargers as well as store luggage safely to squeeze the most out of your last day. Our room 614 was excellent for the comfort of the bed, large shower room with underfloor heating, tea and coffee making and a handy fridge to store groceries we’d bought. However, one side of the bed was so close to the wall, you could only get into bed by walking sideways like a crab. This was bad planning but genuinely the only complaint. The hotel itself has a dining area, the breakfast buffet is incredible with foods from around the world, a separate counter for gluten and dairy free and such a broad variety that you could eat something different every day. With freshly cooked pancakes and plentiful supplies, it really was as good as everyone says! You do get a token for a ‘light’ evening meal, which is available Mon to Thurs. This is homemade soup, breads, meats, cheeses, fruits as well as fruit juices, tea, coffee. You can also just ask for another token at reception so can eat there each of the days it’s available. We found that getting something at the nearby supermarket or from the 7-11 made this really budget friendly! We’d highly recommend this hotel and thank the staff for a wonderful stay. "

"A good hotel in a great location. Great breakfast. Everywhere in Tromsø was walkable from the hotel. The staff were friendly and able to give advice. The room was comfortable. The only thing letting it down snot was the public areas need refurbishing. Otherwise a good hotel and recommended to stay. "

"Perfectly situated near the water with a beautiful view over the mountains, bridge and Arctic Cathedral from the front and the pretty town and hillside to the back of the hotel. Great breakfast in the morning with everything you could want and good quality food. Friendly helpful staff all around. Nice looking modern hotel. Rooms were good but small. We booked a cosy room and were upgraded to the next size up as we were there for 7 nights which we really appreciated but that wasn't huge. Cosy rooms really are for 1 or 2 night stays I think. Most comfortable bed, bedding and pillows so had a good nights sleep. Housekeeping forgot to do our room one day but that's the only grumble. Perfectly situated for walking into town and all restaurants. Jonas Pizza restaurant in front of hotel was good and there's a bar nextdoor too. Taxi and coach pickup point at the front of the hotel. Local tours picked up from outside hotel or the hotel over the road. Boating tours are a 10 minute walk away. Nothing is that far and is in walking distance. Definitely would stay here again."
