“Timeless Glamour”

We spent 2 magical weeks at the Negresco Hotel in Nice. This hotel is unique and wonderful in every way. As soon as we arrived, we were escorted to our room and informed that, because of the length of our stay, they had upgraded us to a suite to make us more comfortable. The room decor was old world glamour...damask wall coverings, canopied bed, antique furnishings and a huge, marbled bathroom. The staff was always attentive and helpful. The concierge service assisted us in making many of our day trip plans and with transportation info. The hotel is right on the Promenade, convenient to everything. And even the pictures on Expedia's site can't do justice to the beauty of this hotel. The owner has filled every floor with art treasures and the huge lounge with the giant chandelier is truly magnificent. The buffet breakfast in the delightful Rotunde Restaurant may seem a little pricey, but it is excellent and fills you up for the day. You won't have to eat again until dinner. Our entire trip was made extra special by feeling so pampered and being surrounded by such beauty when we returned from our travels each evening. If you have the opportunity, the Negresco is an experience not to be missed!

“Nice - The Old Way”

As a first time visitor to the south of France, this hotel was an amazing introduction to the Cote d'Azur. Although a little frayed around the edges (electrical issues for charging gadgets) the ambience took us back to a time long past in the most pleasant way. Other travellers we met along the way all had been to the Negresco as a tourist stop. We were staying in a part of the history of the area. Very central, within walking distance of the old city. Museums, cafes, beach stops and transit - all available with minutes. Would return to this hotel if visiting the area again.

“Excellent Location”

Travellers must be aware that this property is well past its prime and is badly in need of a face-lift. This property was not our first choice, however, once we settled in we fully enjoyed the quirky surroundings and outstanding Nice location. The staff were all very accommodating.
