Nice visit to Newport

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Most everything
Cons: sound proofing
Location: Newport!!!
Everything was very good with one exception. The sound proofing was poor as a man next door snored during the night for a while and you could hear it all to well.

Good hotel for budget minded people

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Price was great and location was good. Swimming pool and hot tub were good too.
Cons: Pillows weren't very good and in-room refrigerator wasn't the cleanest inside.
Location: Downtown Newport, Mansion tours, fine dining.
We chose this hotel over a higher end one so that we could get a separate room for our teenage children. While nobody would confuse this hotel with the Four Seasons, it was fine for what it was. Less than two miles from the main Newport strip, and conveniently located near supermarket and drug stores. Front desk very helpful with maps, directions and dining suggestions.

Clean and comfortable

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Convenient place to stop near Newport. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Wasn't wild about the heating/cooling in terms of keeping a steady temperature and dealing with the noise.
Location: Not really near anything scenic, only near conveniences such as a grocery store and a Starbucks and a few chain restaurants.
They were accommodating, and the rooms were much nicer than we expected. The heating/cooling was a bit noisy and cumbersome, but the accommodations were comfortable in all other respects.

First trip to Newport, RI

Posted 9-Nov-2014
Driving to Newport required crossing a toll bridge charging tolls both ways. A lovely town to visit. Nice room, good heat, unplugged the fridge for the night so we didn't hear it running, toilet made a slow drip sound- closed the bathroom door. Quiet outside at night.

Friendly staff

Posted 5-Nov-2014
Pros: Affordable rates and friendly nature of of the staff.
Cons: Updates, especially to the room's decor, would be nice. Quicker wifi speed and better strength.
Location: Pretty cool that Newport is so close.
Had a wonderful time. Front desk folks were very accommodating and helpful. Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to return next summer.

Baby baptism of a relative

Posted 5-Nov-2014
Pros: I liked that it was smaller.
Cons: Breakfast offerings
Location: It was close to everything we wanted.
It was a good experience. I used the pool and it was nice. The staff was friendly. Only thing I'd like to see is more breakfast items offered.

Great location - near food, shopping, casino

Posted 30-Oct-2014
Cons: Need a night light for bathroom
staff helpful, was able to get rollaway bed (which is highly unusual these days). Had plenty of morning breakfast food - fruit, juice, muffins, coffee, tea etc. We were on first floor and able to open sliders and have coffee outside for a breath of air. we will stay again.
