Break away!
The location was perfect. Building was very quiet and easy to access. Most amazing comfortable bed! Very peaceful environment! The unit had everything you needed. The only comments I would like to suggest to owners is the pots and pans have peeling Teflon, cutlery is very cheap and small, some plastic scrapers were falling off in our food as they were melted down, bleach stains on towel. Over all cleanliness ok, however cushions on couch have some staining and in between cushions dirt and crumbs. Little things make a difference.

Just as Described
The condo was on the water and you are able to watch the boat marina next door taking the boats in and out of the water. The master overlooked the boats which was beautiful. A couple of small details - it would have been nice if some basic necessities were provided like soap, shampoo, paper towels, etc but Walmart is a short drive away. Rebecca was very easy to communicate with. Definitely worth the stay. Thank you?

As hosts we do provide some basic pantry and toiletry supplies, but as we do not live in the area, are unable to guarantee their availability. This is detailed in the check in package provided to guests by email. As you have noted the location is very close to shopping including a dollar store located less than a two minute drive away. Nice Getaway
Very nice condo with a great view looking out over the marina and towards departure bay. A great central location close to Nanaimo harbor area, restaurants and downtown. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect location, Beautiful Condo
My husband and I stayed at Gary’s condo over Christmas so we could visit our kids/grandkids. What a wonderful experience we had! The condo is clean and spacious, everything updated, and well stocked pantry. We had one minor issue with the internet and the hosts contacted us immediately to rectify the situation (I only mention this to let you know the owners are very responsive). The view is spectacular, the area is quiet and had everything we needed! We’ll definitely refer to friends and family for future visits!

Review
Property shows exactly like listing. The only comment I would make is that this is the only short term rental with no paper towels, no shampoo or conditioner in the unit. It seems like a small thing to make your guests comfortable.

Air conditioning didn’t work very well. Great location and view from balcony. Needs a few more things in the cutlery drawer and a few more dishes

Hi Bryan, thank you for taking the time to provide a review, it was a pleasure to host you. The average high temp in Nanaimo in September is 19 degrees c and 22 c in the summer. This is why we advertise in advance to our guests that we have a/c (not central but as pictured) for the odd day it is hot enough to warrant it. The units work well for the spaces if the doors are kept closed so they are only working to cool a smaller space and not the whole condo. Kind regards.

Beach House 304
The property was lovely and very spacious it was very easy to access the condo without the need to carry keys because it had an access code. It was in an excellent location and very close to a bus route which was good for us as we do not drive. The views when we were sat on our balcony were lovely as it overlooked Newcastle Island and it was interesting to watch the coming and goings of the boats in the marina.

Great Stay and Perfect View
We stayed at this beautiful place over the Canada Day long weekend. The place was able to accommodate for 8 of us (my wife and I and our two children under 3years Old, and my friend, his wife and their two children under 3 years old as well). It was in a great location, great view of the harbor and only few minutes away from the ferry. I gave 3/5 for communication just because it took awhile before I got hold of the property manager for a quick question — in hindsight, I should have called them instead of sending them a message. Once I got a hold of them though, they were super nice and helpful. I would stay with them again 😊

A note for other travelers the suite is ideally suited for 4 and can accommodate up to 6 guests. In this review two of the guests are infants or the max occupancy would be exceeded.

Grandma and grandkids
Grandma lives in Nanaimo and hasn’t seen her grandkids in years! I arranged a trip with my adult children so we could all be together, grandma is 88 yrs old. We had my brother and mom who live in Nanaimo, my niece and nephew who live in Vancouver and myself and 2 kids who are from Minnesota. We had a very special Saturday night dinner together. The unit was perfect. Lovely setting, a short walk to my mom’s apartment, walking distance to all amenities. Lovely views , wonderful windows opening to the fresh cool sea air. Beds comfortable, kitchen great. Thank you so much.

Sisters getaway

Very comfortable, very clean with great views
I have only very good things to say about this condo, it exceeded my expectations in every way. Spotless (which is really important); very comfortable beds with great linens; excellent Internet access (I was working during my stay); and a wonderful location with great views and access to beautiful walking paths. The hosts left good instructions for entering the condo, accessing the underground parkade, using the Murphy bed. I’m already planning to return!

Nice location
Close to the ferry on a wide but not busy street. Great views of the Marina and Newcastle island. Good separation between the two sleeping areas made it a nice private place to stay with friends. Extra bathroom was great. Clean and modern. Helpful hosts

Would stay again!
I would stay in this space again. There were four of us, and we were able to stay comfortably. Pros: the space was clean and comfortable; parking was great; location was great as some of us came on the ferry; the view was great; central location but quiet; we didn't use the tv's, but lots of options if you have a crowd (as opposed to a hotel room where everyone is stuck watching if someone has the tv on), Also loved the convenience of having a washer and dryer. Thanks for everything! It was great.

An amazing place
Very clean, nice view from the unit, spacious, 3 minutes by car to the ferry to Vancouver...However be aware to deal regularly with giant spiders. Otherwise, I will strongly recommend.

It was fine. Would have just been nice to have a few more chairs on the deck if it accommodates 6. For future renters if you can’t get into the underground parking we found out if you have 45 in coins you can be in the outside lot for a week otherwise it is 15 a day. Bed coils squeaks on the Murphy bed. Was clean and nice and a good location close to everything.

Hi Debbie, We clearly advertise this unit is ideally suited for 4 guests as well we took the time to personally explain this to you. In recognition that some folks would prefer to put more people in a space than it is suited for we do allow for 6 - which also saves guests money if they are willing to put 6 guests in a space designed for 4. We also offer our guests free secure under ground parking as well as free street parking. The underground lot accommodates 2 standard size vehicles at no charge. Everything about this property and host is top notch. Communication was always prompt and detailed. The house was spotless and all the amenities were as promised. The property is a perfect jumping off point to start the many hikes available in the Nanaimo area. Fun watching boats and float planes from the balcony. I highly recommend this property.

Great Location
In town for a wedding this was a great home base for some tourist stuff and wedding venue. Unit had most everything, we had bad luck in that there was no dishwasher detergent, paper towel or toilet paper so we had to go out and purchase some but as far as utensils all the basics were there. Rebecca was great, we did and early checkin and late checkout, responded to messages quick and even a phone call when we got locked out. Highly recommend.

I loved the location. I didn’t like having to park in a garage and use a key fob. I was very unclear as to what is recyclable in the province. A little chart would have been helpful. It was a beautiful apartment and close to everything. I would go back again for sure. Beautiful 😊

All you need
Our stay at the Beach House exceeded our expectation a hundred fold. Having never used any rental such as VRBO we had no idea what to expect. The unit was extremely clean beautifully decorated comfortable beds and linens fully stocked kitchen with unexpected condiments. Access was easy to the unit and underground parking. The view kept us staring out the large bedroom and living room windows. You won’t be disappointed with this rental.

Perfect place to be snowed in
My family and I spent three weeks in the property over a Christmas/New Year when a highly unusual snow fall and Covid restrictions saw us spend most of the time inside. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay - very clean, warm and comfortable, surprisingly spacious, very good value and a stunning view of the wharf. Next time we visit Nanaimo, we would love to stay in the property.
