The checkin process was very smooth. We did a standard twin room with our visit. The lobby is minion theme and an awesome aquarium behind the checkin desk which for me made time fly while in line. The room was average. It did have a smell of the port (sea) when we first walked in but the room includes an air cleaner and good AC unit which took care of that problem. Definitely take advantage of the sun blocker curtains as in June the sun was beaming in the window at 4:30am! We included breakfast in our room rate and it was well received, although not as many options as the universal park front hotel that we stayed at a few days prior. There was also vending machines and a water/ice dispenser on our floor, although for me the water/ice dispenser was very hard to access as it was in a corner in a tight spot. Universal city and the train station just a few blocks east walk away. Watch the YouTube videos they really helped set my expectations before arriving.

A hotel in the heart of Kyoto with a great access to transportation and shopping. The hotel is very modern, with great interior design, spacious rooms, and very good facilities. The staff is very professional and supportive.

This hotel was great with the most wonderful staff. We felt well-catered to during our stay and the place was quiet and peaceful while still close to everything.
Thank you for the outstanding hospitality. We will definitely stay here again for future trips to Kyoto!

We stayed here as two couples traveling together on a friends trip. Loved having the option for a two room suite with kitchen and laundry. Plenty of space. The hotel offers robes, fun games and activities like origami making in the lobby and daily sake for free. Lots to do nearby and great places to eat right around the block.

Great hotel to stay at if your looking for something cost effective and also somewhere close to universal studio's. Stayed with my partner and 2 young children. The rooms were enough for a family of 4, and the convenience of having everything in close proximity was a bonus. Would recommend especially for the price

"Very well presented hotel in a fantastic location of Kyoto. Very short walk out of the hotel and your in the little kyoto alleys filled with food and little bars. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Would definately recommend staying at this hotel"
