“A Genuine German Hotel Experience”
We were very pleased with the service received at the Hahn Hotel. The rooms were clean and cozy with traditional German decor. The front desk was very helpful with explaining the tram/subway system and the many interesting sites to visit. The all-inclusive breakfast was very good and staff was always very helpful. This hotel was one of the better values that we experienced on our trip. I would recommend it highly. The only drawback that I can say would be the limited parking available. The hotel parking is between the hotel and the building next to it. You need to drive though a very narrow archway and have very little room to manuever. We actually asked the hotel owner if he would pull our car out for us to the main road and he was happy to do so.
“Great Location, Lovely Interior and perfect location”
This hotel is clean and beautiful. Great service and nicely decorated. The bar is great with fresh Augustine Beer to start. There is free internet service which is priceless in europe because most hotels see it as a way to tax you silently. It is perfectly located. 5mins tram ride to the city center. The rooms are not exotic but well decorated and the bathrooms are really clean.
“Nice Trip to Munich”
Wife and I choose this hotel because of the reviews, price and location. We were not disappointed. We stayed Mar 9-14. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived till check out. The breakfast was a terrific Bavarian breakfast with delicious coffee cake! They have a nice little bar in the hotel lobby to drink some delicious Augustiner beer on tap late in the evening. The hotel had a lot of charm and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only negative about the hotel is that the rooms/bathrooms are very quaint, but we were expecting this based on other reviews so this wasn't a surprise (a lot of European hotels are much smaller anyway compared to US rooms). Still, the rooms was very pleasant. The hotel is about a quarter mile from the S/U Bahn into and surrounding all of Munich. Munich Central Station and Marienplatz are just a short few minute trip away which is great. It's maybe a 30 minute ride from the airport with the train. We found travel to be extremely easy with no need for an automobile whatsoever. Can't beat this location/hotel for the price.
“Well-Priced Hotel with Easy Access to Central Munich”
Price is great and easy to get to central Munich using the nearby S Bahn train station (connects to the U Bahn too) - they can sell you tickets at the hotel. Staff very helpful - helped us find an English-language cinema and reserve tickets. Rooms are not fancy, but they are very clean and not too small. Decorated in a cute Bavarian style. Breakfast was not included in our rate, but was quite decent buffet. Free internet and free parking much appreciated - though you will be happiest if your car is a small one. The parking access is a real pain for larger vehicles (anything more than a compact or economy car).
“A fine place to stay in Munich.”
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights because free parking was available. Good for the price overall, but not 3 stars, more like 2. PARKING:Since we arrived late; like 11pm on a Thurs, there were no more spots so we had to park underground right next to the hotel. It was 5 euro a night, not bad; but I was kind of expecting free. Watch out if you have to park down there, it's one of those w/ a mechanical elevators; watch your antenna because the roof is low. STAFF: Easy checkin and out; staff was extremely helpful and friendly. INTERNET: 1 terminal that was downstairs and free with printer. ROOM: Small, older, but clean. Street side can get loud and there is no A/C, so summers may get hot in the room. BREAKFAST: Ours was included and was great; included eggs, toast, meats, etc. TRAIN ACCESS: Real short walk to get to the stop; like 1k feet. You can buy day passes at the front desk.
“Lovely Bavarian Hotel”
Great location, warm and friendly. Good price too. Enjoyed our time at Hahn Hotel and would recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a family run, truly Bavarian style hotel.
“convenient location to public transport.”
Loved this old creaky hotel. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The hotel is a quick walk to the bus. The bus ride is about 1 mile to the Central Train Station. Breakfast at the Hahn costs 8 Euro - we only ate there once as there were many less expensive options along the way to the bus. It (the breakfast) was "ok" - we preferred the sandwiches from other vendors for 2 and 3 euros. They do have a microwave and refrigerator available for guests to use (not in the rooms, but located in hotel kitchen area). The rooms are clean, but quite small, which is to be expected of rooms in Europe. We chose this hotel because of it's convenient location to public transport.
“Great hotel, great service”
The hotel is conveniently located close to the train and tram lines and was easy to get to from the airport on the train. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were always greeted with a smile. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We only stayed for 2 nights and would be more than happy to go back. The only downside is that it's on a main road but because of this it was really easy to find so we didn't get lost when we went out exploring Munich!!
“Highly Recommend Hotel Hahn”
The staff at Hotel Hahn were extremely helpful, and friendly and many times during our three day stay-they went above and beyond to help us navigate the tram and train system, as well as offer suggestions for shopping and eating. The room was very clean and neat and the breakfast included hot eggs, along with a buffet of meats, cheeses, breads, yogurts, toppings, juices, coffee and teas. Plenty to choose from before starting our day of exploring Munich. In the evening, the staff was very happy to make us a drink or serve coffee and such in their bar area while we read, played cards, or just planned the next day's excursion. All in all, a great hotel, in a very accessible location to the historic district of Munich.
“Like Home”
I was traveling alone but I felt like I was staying with friends. The staff were very gracious and friendly- making sure to chat with me each morning (even though I only speak English). The breakfast was very good, plentiful and served in a beautiful cozy room. The proximity to the tram was an extra and the staff were very helpful in offering advice on things to do. I have already told friends , "If you are ever in Munich stay here."
