“Sofitel Munich Bayerpost -”
My first trip to Munich. The hotel was excellent. Courteous staff, very comfortable room, smart spa and a very easy walk to get into the Old Town from the hotel itself. Would go back without a doubt.
“would definitely go back”
Top notch hotel, great service, very clean. It is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It is located right outside of the central train station, at the same time, very quiet. Depending on who you are traveling with the hotel bathroom might not be the most private as it has a sliding slightly opened door. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Munich.
“Worth staying there”
The location of the hotel is great: it's very close to the Marienplatz, 10 min by walk. The service in the hotel is perfect, decoration of the room is in high-tech style. Good noise insulation. We enjoyed our staying.
“Fabulous Hotel”
This hotel is attached to the main train station, and is superior in all respects. The rooms are large for Europe, have Bose sound systems, flat screen TVs, espresso machines, complimentary Evian, and overall are impressive. The staff is wonderful and the spa facilities blew my wife away. You are a 10-15 minute walk from the main shopping areas and beer gardens. The only drawback in the proximity to the drug users, drunks, and homeless people that hang out outside the train station a few hundred feet from the front door of the hotel. I would not let my wife or children walk around alone there, as I am 6'3" and 250 pounds and still was accosted by one of them. I thought I was going to have to fight him on the street in broad daylight, which I was not in a hurry to do in a strange country where I don't speak the language, while accompanied by my scared wife. There were lots of police in the area at night, but they do not keep the bad apples away.
“One of the best hotel I have ever stayed in”
Hotel is very modern and clean.Staff are kind enough to show us where to walk around the Munich and gave us a map. Food at main restaurant was delicious. We definitely go back to this hotel whenever there is another chance to go to Munich.
“excellent quality”
clean, comfortable hotel located in the central of the city, just next to railway station. very friendly staf, customer driven approach
“Cannot fault - would definitely return”
Excellent hotel with excellent facilities -swimming pool, sauna, steam room in lower ground (no extra charge). Excellent location - near train station and able to walk to central Munich in 5 mins. Staff very pleasant and helpful and food excellent. Room very smart - especially liked the bathroom.
“Oasis of calm”
We loved the soft subtle lighting of this hotel, particularly in the womb-like pool with its twisting passages. The pink bedroom lights were fun too.
“Very elegant hotel... totally impressed”
Excellent all-over
“City holiday traveller”
The hotel has maintained the character of the orginal building but inside has been transformed to a modern, high tech hotel.Very impressed.Easy walking distance to all main sights.Equally public transport is readily available which is not very expensive.
