Lovely hotel for short stay before pushing for Roscoff. Used a lot by cyclists. A lock up room for bicycles. Time for a walk along the stunning river moliere. Very good breakfast for 10€.
The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to assist us and make our stay a great experience. We stayed at Hotel Du Port 4 nights. They had a nice big luggage storage room for our bikes and even allowed us to leave our bikes there for a couple extra days while we went to a wedding in the countryside before returning to Morlaix to catch the train for our trip home. They were very friendly and understood English well. Great experience!
this is a wonderful old-style hotel, with giant keys that you can't lose, no elevator and nicely re-done bathrooms, good beds and linens and even a little breakfast room. it's no frills, but housekeeping gave us a fridge when they saw we had some food--witjout us even having to ask for it! it is right on the canal in lovely Morlaix, walking distance (or climbing distance to the train station!) to most things and the city surrounding the hotel is a treat. flowers abound, as do trees and all sorts of architecture. don't miss the lavoir, tucked away off the main road coming down from the train station.
My room was perfectly adequate, and the continental breakfast was also good. The hotel deserves an extra star.

A medical emergency on our way to Morlaix prevented us from reaching our destination and meant that we had to cancel our stay at Hotel Du Port. Though we had made a non-refundable reservation, we still thought they might make an exception (given the circumstances). Despite Hotel.com's advocacy, the hotel charged us for the night. Though they had a right to do so, I was disappointed they didn't show any compassion.

Ceci est un commentaire d'une personne n'ayant pas séjourné dans notre établissement...et ne devrait donc pas être pris en compte ...
Fairly good location.
Negative points
No elevator
The ‘ family ‘ room,
One double
One twin
Small; part of an attic;; Kept hitting our heads .
We could not sleep well as the room was unbearably hot; Opening attic window only brought in flies;
Horrid conditions to stay in.
Breakfast was less than a basic continental.
Food was not covered .
Flies were on god ; yuck;
So we avoided the ‘free’ breakfast.
We checked out early due to all above; but no on apologized and we got no refund for the prepaid night.
Not a good experience at all;
The hotel is clean and modern but there is no elevator so difficult to get go the third floor with a big suitcase. I had called to inquire how to get to the hotel from the train station but the directions were insufficient and I got lost on the way, dragging my heavy suitcase down many flights of stairs late at night. I should have taken a cab but I thought it was close to the station according to the information that zu was given and anyway you need to order a cab in advance.
Also beware when you arrive not to take the Night Entrance ( entree de Nuit ) because it is misleading and will take you up another stone staircase leading to no where. The main entrance is the right one even after hours and you can get in with a code. The owner was nice and helped me find directions for a bus to get to the next town in the morning. The room was clean, modern and comfortable and so was the bathroom. The only drawback is the lack of elevator.
Recently modernised hotel within easy walking distance of every aspect of the fantastic Medivinal town of Morlaix. Look out for the market on Saturday. Friendly staff, great European breakfast (at an additional cost). Just a good economical base to enjoy this interesting region and town.
Good welcome hotel exactly as described. Pearling outside on the road and free. Ideally located for exploring MORLAIX which is a charming town. Eccentric meal nearby. It did more than it said on the tin.

Good stay
Very helpful Gentleman Jean Christophe at reception.
Lovely hotel conveniently situated to everything Morlaix has to offer. The second floor room we had was very comfortable and clean, despite it bein small it was adequate for our one night stay. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection
We stayed here three nights using Morlaix as a hub for day trips. Good breakfast, nice place, convenient to the old city and some good restaurants. Don't miss buckwheat pancakes at Ty Bihan just up the street.
Hotel de Port was so far the least expensive of any in our month long tour, the quietest, the ABSOLUTE best breakfast, free, and Patricia, who manned the front desk was. . . . is, the most helpful, excellent English speaking person we've dealt with.
Thank you, Patricia -
We received a very warm welcome at this hotel. The room however was very small. I think we were unlucky as looking into other rooms while they were cleaned, they were signicantly nicer than ours! They breakfast was good though and location very good for Morlaix. Just a short walk to the main town area. Overall it was OK for a budget hotel but quite dated in places.
The hotel was an ideal location and easy to find. The hotel was clean and efficient. The manager and staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We had a great stay there. Very good value for money.

Good night's stop-over. Better than 2*
Very friendly reception staff. Was brilliant to drive off the Roscoff ferry, arrive in Morlaix in 35 minutes and allowed to book in early as the room was available. Free parking across the road from the hotel. Short walk into Morlaix which is a very attractive and charming small town with some good shops, restaurants and a Saturday market.
There was no lift but staff were helpful carrying cases to the third floor. Very peaceful room, comfortable beds. Slept so well that we missed breakfast! We had a quiet room on third floor at the back. Would definitely go back. Thank you Hotel du Port.
After seeing the hotel, facilities & our room we decided not to stay. A very dark & dingy hotel with no facilities at all, only a reception at certain times of the day. We lost the price of the one night stay but we couldn't drop out standard that low.

Good value
Good value for the money, but having requested a room on the first or second floor when booking I was disappointed to be stuck on the third floor!
Lumpy double bed; very uncomfortable nights' sleep. Standard European hotel room - small and no room for luggage. A bit run down but clean. No elevator. Nice bathroom, great location, quiet, room dark for sleeping, nice folks at desk, free parking. Bed fine for one night but we stayed three. Didn't eat breakfast so can't comment.

Good Morning AnnieAnnie ,many thanks for your advice .
Sorry we did not ask you to keep your luggage downstairs, we have got a special locked room to keep it safe!
The room you stayed has a Simons matress not more than 5 years old but quite smooth . If you prefere a harder one please ask for it . We can also provide larger rooms with larger beds.
Kind regards.
Good basic hotel close to the centre of Morlaix with ample parking in front.Reception staff very friendly and helpful.The room was comfortable if a little dingy but ample for our needs. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant "An dol vad", 1,Rue de Paris recommended for local cuisine - and open on a Sunday.
At first concerned about parking and being on what appeared to be a busy road these fell away and we enjoyed our stay and the convience of the location

Good Overnight stop
Stayed here prior to getting the ferry from Roscoff. I should imagine that this hotel gets a lot of its trade under similar circumstances. Reception was excellent. Room was comfortable although walls were a bit on the thin side for internal noise. Very convenient location, five minutes walk from the centre of town with ample free parking outside. Very reasonable with regard to price. Would definitely recommend to others.

stayed in better
The hotel room was small and the bed rather uncomfortable, the toilet seat was dirty and the lighting in the bedroom was poor. Expected something better Not good value for money
For a cycling holiday this was an excellent choice. The cyclles were securely locked overnight. The rooms comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.

Ideal for Roscoff
Second time I have stayed here, last some three years ago. The hotel is a little tired decor wise but location on the edge of the market square and only fifteen miles from the Roscoff puts it very good for an overnight stay before catching the ferry. No private car park but you can park on the road opposite. Reception was friendly as was checkout . Little bit of noise from people using the staircase and the room above but an undisturbed nights sleep. Morlaix itself is very pretty but not more than a half day distraction.
