La Veranda - Open-air terrace restaurant with panoramic lake views. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner including an à la carte menu including locally-caught fresh fish.
Recreation
Cruises around Lake Como, exclusive to Grand Menaggio guests, leave from the hotel's private dock. Activities on or around the lake include waterskiing, sailing, fishing and motor boating. There is also nearby tennis. Lake ferries depart from the ferry station, 100 metres from the hotel.

“Hotel Mennagio - Lake Como”
Despite variable weather, the setting of the hotel was excellent. We had booked a room with a lake view, & it overlooked the pool also. The staff were friendly & despite a wedding taking place that day, were still helpful. It is close to the ferry so good location for touring the lake towns. Don't expect a wild nightlife, it is definately for the more mature customer, or somewhere to just chil quietly.
“Highly recommended”
Flavour of the Grand with this hotel - excellent service, great layout esp. pool area, and wonderfully attentive service. Only downside was the room decor, which was spartan and not as grand as rest of hotel The Hotel a la carte restaurant is top-quality, and the maitre d' was charming. Relaxed holiday in brilliant location complemented thoroughly by the Grand Hotel Menaggio
“Wonderful Spot”
We stayed at this hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We have a 3 year old and while the age profile of guests at this hotel trends toward an older crowd, we felt very comfortable there. You are next door to the ferry station so getting around the lake is easy. We spent most evenings there in dowtown Managgio and had plenty of excellent options for dining.

“Great location”
Excellent location close to boat/car ferry port. Short walk to bars and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet at night. We got a lake view room which is a must (otherwise you would get a road view I expect). You can see Varenna and Bellagio from the room and the view is superb. Breakfast was very good - lots of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, pastries, breads, cheeses, meats etc. I was having 4 courses every day! There is a supermarket almost next door that stocks everything you would need.
“Great hotel!”
One of the few hotels with balconies. Also-Actually got served eggs, bacon and sausage along with the usual traditional fare of a European breakfast. A terrific way to start the day! Great location with a ferry directly behind the hotel and the bus stop directly opposite. You can walk in to the town center to get your bus tickets and the staff was courteous and friendly. Internet access and hotel safes and hair dryers in every room. Also had a bathtub.
“Best Hotel in Mennaggio, stay here!”
Wow, wow, wow, what am amazingly wonderful hotel experience. We loved it! The hotel is beautiful and ultra elegant and romantic. The views are breathtaking and the pool and outdoor areas sublime. Fabulous indeed, go here!
“Great hotel”
Can't fault the hotel really. We stayed for 3 nights in August 2008, and everything was great. Very friendly service, lovely pool area, good restaurant, and a wonderful location right on the lakeside. The room was comfortable and there was generally a nice relaxed atmosphere. My only criticism would be that most of the equipment in the small gym seemed to be out of action, but aside from that, it was a very enjoyable stay.
“Lovely Views”
Great hotel right on the lake. Lovely pool, but lots of loud kids when we were there. Good food, but 4 course set meal is served in 45 mins, so way too quick. Free parking. Nice breakfast. Great location. OK room, but would pay more for a lake view next time.

An excellent hotel for exploring Lake Como. The boat left from directly outside the hotel. Breakfast, overlooking the lake, was a great start to the day!
