Property Amenities
Family-friendly Aston at Papakea Resort is adjacent to North Kaanapali Beach. Whalers Village, a beachfront shopping-and-dining center, is 1 mile away.
Free weekly activities include yoga, pilates, and pool workouts, as well as tennis and putting tournaments. The resort rents boogie boards and other beach gear. Guests have signing privileges at the poolside Beach Club Restaurant, located at the companion property next door.
Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.

The 364 condo units at Aston at Papakea Resort are divided among 11 four-story buildings, all with elevators. The spacious condos are individually decorated in island style. Sliding glass doors open to furnished lanai with ocean or garden views.
Condos offer full kitchens with microwaves, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, cookware, dishware, kitchen linens, utensils, and coffeemakers. Dining areas and washer/dryers are also included. Wireless Internet access is complimentary. TV Internet access is available for a surcharge. DVD and CD players are provided. Ceiling fans supplement air conditioning.

Dining
Aston at Papakea Resort does not have its own restaurant, but guests have signing privileges at the companion hotel's Beach Club Restaurant. Whalers Village, 1 mile away, offers several additional restaurants and a food court.
Beach Club Restaurant - Casual, family-friendly restaurant located poolside, with indoor and outdoor seating. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers ocean views. Serves steaks, pasta, and seafood for dinner. Full bar specializing in tropical drinks.

Recreation
This Maui resort has 2 ocean-view splash pools with spa tubs, as well as two 18-hole putting greens and a lighted tennis court. Yoga, pilates, and swim workouts are complimentary. Advanced surfing classes are available for a surcharge.
The adjacent companion property has a beachfront fitness center (surcharge) and offers a children's program (ages 5–12) that includes Hawaiian cultural activities and outdoor play, from ukulele lessons to hula-skirt making. Daily surcharge for the children's program is $25, subject to change.
The resort rents kayaks, boogie boards, and other beach equipment. The golf courses of Kaanapali are 2 miles south. The famed 3 courses and golf academy of Kapalua are 5 miles north. Other activities in West Maui include skydiving, parasailing, hiking in the West Maui mountains, and boating.

Book a minimum 5-night stay January 3 - December 20, 2012 and January 3 - March 31, 2013 for travel during the same period, and receive every 5th night fee.

Camp Kaanapali is offered to children ages 5 – 12. Camp activities include a variety of Hawaiian cultural and outdoor-based activities such as hula dancing, ukulele lessons, beach exploration, lei making, sand art, kite making/flying, swimming, scavenger hunts, games, arts, and crafts. Both day and evening sessions are available. One-time registration fee of $10 per child includes a t-shirt. Daily rate of $25 per child includes meals. Registration must be made 24 hours in advance upon arrival at the resort. Registration is held daily at 8 AM at the Camp Kaanapali Center in room 135. Camp Kaanapali hours are Monday – Friday (with the exception of major holidays), 8 AM – 2 PM. Friday evening sessions are 5 PM – 9 PM and include dinner. Space is limited to 16 participants per session. Children who are ill may not attend.
Note: Camp Kaanapali is located at the Aston Kaanapali Shores and is available to registered guests of all Aston properties on Maui.

“No cheap, but worthy”
We stayed for ten days and the experience was wonderful. Nothing bad to say. Good location, close to the sea (oceanfront), close to shops, Lahaina, wonderful views, very nice staff.
“Best experience ever!”
This trip was perfect. Booked hotel and air ticket through expedia. When we arrived there we found an expedia representive in the reception area, he booked for us all the activities we like to do in Maui (snorkling, whale watching, trip in the nature, horse back riding...). The hotel receptionists were professional. We spent more than a week in this hotel with no problems. They have amazing pools and jacuzi. The apartment was ocean view, we enjoyed taking breakfast on the balcony. If I visited Maui again I will go only to Aston at Papakea.

The buildings and grounds at Aston at Papakea Resort are very well kept up and the rooms are just perfect! Our experience far exceeded our expectations, and we felt cared for by the staff. I highly recommend a stay at this resort!
“Very Happy”
I was very pleased with everything. I had a REAL problem finding the hotel. The entrance is in a congested area. The sign is hard to pick-up as a single car driver/occupant. The entry drive looks like a alley rather than an entrance. I feel the facility was well worth the price. Their sister hotel has a excellent dinner service.
“Third times the charm”
This was our third Ladies Only trip to Maui and what a time it was. We once again had a great experience at our favorite condo. We were upgraded from a 2B/2B ocean view to a 3B/2B ocean view which was nice until a small bathroom problem that they tried to fixed as soon as we called but we continued to have a probelm so they upgraded us again to a 3B/3B ocean front, they also sent some very nice men to help move all our things. WOW what a view! They grounds here are beautifuly kept and we have always felt safe as a group of Ladies traveling with out our other halves. We can't wait to come back, except next time we might have to bring the husbands along. The management here are great and we will continue to be come, once again we had a great time There.

“Lovely Vacation Resort”
The Ashton Papakea was everything we could ask for in a vacation resort. Our room was a very nicely appointed studio - clean, well equipped, and pleasingly decorated. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall a great place to stay between adventures or just hang out for the day. I have to admit the $10 surcharge per day was a little off -putting. Why not include it in the price of the condo and be done with it? I would say that most people would consider the nickel and diming aggravating but don't mind paying a little more up front for the condo for the amenities provided.
