“Great location-great price in Old Lyon”
If you're looking for a luxury hotel this is not the place, but if you're looking for a comfortable bed, good shower, great clean quiet basic room within walking distance of all the sights of Vieux Lyon and Pres Q'Ile in downtown Lyon, then this is definitely the place. Friendly staff and very reasonable price for the convenient location. Skip the breakfast as you can easily hit a bakery nearby for less money. Highly recommended.
“Charm in Abundance”
The Hotel Le Phenix enjoys a matchless location in Old Lyon overlooking the Saone River. My beautifully decorated room had a view over the water. Staff were discreet and accommodating, honoring my request to check in early. The hotel is within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and bridges across the river to other areas of the city, and access to city transport is extremely convenient.

Idéalement placé dans le vieux lyon. la chambre coutait 3 fois ce qu'on a payé avec petit salon dans la chambre... super!!!

Etablissement bien tenu et situé à proximité du vieux lyon et du centre ville. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Notre chambre donnait sur une cour interieure mais celles donnant sur les quais de la Saone beneficient d'une tres jolie vue.

Great location for sightseeing; very close to old town bars and restaurants; pretty girls on reception; English - speaking staff; very clean. Cons - good 10min walk from Metro station; most rooms don't seem to have a good view.
