You are also welcome to take in the outdoor patio in the rear equipped with a propane grill and lovely patio seating. This is a communal space used by other guests staying in the home. We just ask that you're respectful to them, and they will be respectful to you. A lovely gathering space to meet like minded travelers!

Awful Experience
We should have paid more attention to the bad reviews because it was a nightmare from day 1. We received an email about 30 minutes prior to check-in saying that our unit was "ready and to go in and make ourselves comfortable". We ended up not arriving til about 2 hours after check-in and after 7 hours in the car we were so looking forward to doing just that. Except we arrived to our property not being touched since the last guest left. I contacted the host asking why we were told it was ready. We got a rude and very unprofessional reply that he was sending over a cleaner but "to feel free to just go stay somewhere else. After a long day of traveling we didn't really have a choice so we waited. The cleaning lady did arrive pretty quickly but she mentioned she had only 1 property on her list to clean that day and ours was not on it. We ended up leaving for another couple hours so she could clean in peace but when we came back, now around 8pm, other then the bed being made and the towels picked up, it didn't look like it had been cleaned at all. The floor had dirt, confetti, and dead bugs everywhere. The walls were covered in cobwebs/spiders. The shower had a huge chunk of hair that was left on the wall and hair in the bottom. We got left with 1 towel that had clearly been used because there was fresh makeup all over it, stains, and smelled like stale cigarettes. The worst was the right side of the bed smelled like someone had peed the bed. We ended up leaving a day early.

Needs attention
Would have been 5 rating but the unit needs attention. 3 of 4 lights out in Kitchen, made it dark. Porch light is also out. Flooring in kitchen by fireplace, the seem is coming up over bump in floor causing trip hazard. Large acron on left bed post falls off. Remote for AC had battery cover off as if last tenant was also telling you that there were no batteries. Spring on dishwasher door is broken and the door falls, the faceplate for the dishwasher is also detached.

A great place for a business trip
This is the second time I have stayed at this property. The whole process was really easy. The rental was really comfortable and clean. The location was really great and was walking distance from several restaurants.

Great little house but...
This is a cute little house and a great location. But upon checking in we noticed there wasn't a TV as in the pictures of the house. I immediately contacted the owner thru VRBO with no answer from them. Then on the 2nd day we noticed that there wasn't any extra toilet paper, just the 1/3 of a roll on the holder. Also the paper towels were almost gone as well with no replacment, and since there wasn't any dish colths or dish towels that was what we had to wash and dry everything in the kitchen. Again messaged the owner about the TV with no response. Other than those things I was a nice house and a great location.

Dirty and Broken
I sent a very nice e-mail to the owners about cob webs all over the walls and the floorboards, and the bathroom amenities literally falling off the wall (shower door, sink and toilet paper holder), but he never replied. There's also a very thin door that was put up to turn the first floor of the house in to two studio units. That being said, we could hear EVERYTHING...which included a lot of things you would never want to hear from your neighbors. I own rental units, and all they need to do is make it a double door and put some sound proofing in between...super easy. The location was decent and the unit has a lot of potential, but I wouldn't go back.

Weekend Getaway
I planned a surprise weekend for my girlfriend for our first overnight trip away. This place was great! It was close to both our events. It's in a quiet neighborhood, it was clean, and the bed slept amazing! The shower was great and had great hot water which is a plus for us. Theres a fully functional kitchen with dishes even though we didnt utilize it. ( we didnt want to cook on a lazy getaway lol) There is so many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Starbucks is a 6 minute walk which was wonderful for us. There is also access to rentable electric scooters close. Access to the place was as easy as it can get. I highly recommend this property. If we come to Louisville again this will be the place we stay. So much better than a hotel!

Despite midwestern storm….that even VRBO emailed us about…and that prevented travel from Ohio to Tennessee….owner was unwilling to credit for future travel. (I didn’t even ask for a refund.)

Heating Problems and Poor Communication
This property is cute and in a convenient location. Unfortunately, it was cold, had a musty odor and 4 lights were burned out, including the light by the front door. I notified the host of these problems, but they were very slow to respond. There was no response to an email message through VRBO. My phone call went straight to voice mail, where I got a message that the mail box was full. I finally got a response to my second text message (7 hours after my first text), where the host asked some questions, but didn’t indicate what would be done to solve the problems. I normally use another reservation service, but thought I would try VRBO on this trip. After this experience, I’ll be going back to the other service
