The hotel was perfect for our stay. They had a nice bar with games with a fantastic ambiance. They also have a restaurant with great food!

Overall was a unique experience that I am glad I had. I don’t know that I would stay again because it’s not my scene and the rooms were MUCH smaller than anticipated. The price point to space I had was way overpriced in my opinion. The square toilets were uncomfortable too. If I caught a reservation at a cheap rate, I would consider staying again as the staff were very nice and the facilities were clean and beautiful.

Your bed is next to the shower.literally no walls seperating them. No space in room for storage or bags. Staff was terrible. We were charged twice. Expensive for nothing in return

Hi Tom, thanks for your feedback! Sorry our room layout missed the mark for you personally. We hate to see you leave but realize the Moxy experience may not be for everyone or those expecting the traditional hotel. We hope you won’t be totally discouraged with staying at Marriott Hotels because luckily for you there are over 20 different brands in the Marriott portfolio; there is one out there that will be a better fit for your needs. While we know this does not help your experience, we hope you will accept our apologies. We wish you the safest of travels!

Hip hotel. Great location difficult to arrive.
Well a good hotel. Perhaps I'm too old of a traveler to truly be a moxie fan. All queen beds was a near miss. The fact that the queen bed we have was on a platform not on a box. Spring made our nights uncomfortable. Perhaps this would be fine for a younger slimmer traveler. However, we could have obtained more comfortable accommodations at the same price range for our trip. The biggest problem we truly had was being completely unaware that there is absolutely no curbside service, temporary parking, stopping, standing, convenience. Public parking is fine, however, a hotel needs to be able to receive guests with their luggage in front of their doors and allow check-ins so that you understand the lay of the land and the parking situation upon arrival, which is virtually impossible at this Moxie location. I saw this out of variety of travelers, both the seasoned such as myself and the young new travelers that it was difficult and unaccommodating. The room in desk is literally at the bar without a way to queue up when you have multiple people checking in and was definitely understaffed during the middle of the week to handle check-ins or check outs. The hotels location is extremely convenient. The staff was wonderful and I have no complaints at that level. I'm just saying as an older season traveler I can find better values in Louisville. The boxy seriously has to try to figure out a better way to receive incoming guests.

We are very glad to hear that our location and staff are both huge positives in the Moxy experience. Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience of the arrival experience. Personally, I agree that it can be frustrating to check in behind anyone else, as there is not a lot of room to form a line unless you want to be outside! We do our best to work with what we have. Please know that you are welcome to hang out in our loading zone on Washington St. for as long as you need to bring all your belongings in. Our sister hotel, Hotel Distil also has valet services available to Moxy guests. We hope you will give us another shot the next time your travels find you in downtown Louisville, and if not, we will still have some yummy tacos and drinks waiting :)

Booked my stay last minute as the halfway point on my drive back to Detroit. I feel like such a winner! Great hotel in a fantastic location right in the heart of downtown Louisville. Cannot wait to come back. The hotel was the perfect combination of no frills but make it a memorable experience that exceeds the expectation.

Nothing special, just your average hotel. The tacos are little pricey, but the free drink to the bar was a nice compliment. The bar tenders are cool as well.

Nice, simple hotel with fun decor
I really enjoyed staying at the Moxy. I was close to conference hotel I was at, but able to escape the hustle and bustle. I liked the layout of the hotel and room. The bed was firm, but pretty comfortable. The one thing I did not like is that the smoke detector light was extremely bright and very hard to sleep with. I liked the simplicity of the room and amenities. The Zombie Taco shop and general ambiance was great.

Unique Boutique!
A unique, boutique-type hotel that is close to the Yum Center. Check-in was unusual in that it was at the main floor which also served as a taco/bar restaurant. Our room was smaller than we like but it was clean. Looks like larger rooms are available. We would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

Great location next to the YUM center. Lobby bar is nice, and the beds are comfortable. Rooms are a little small, but are fine for a weekend stay. If you’re going to stay for a week or longer you may want a bigger room, but it’s fine for a short stay. Layout is nice and maximizes the space well.
