Their system was down and they couldn’t check in any guests at all - I missed a dinner reservation because of this with clients! Did not have a back-up plan in place and didn’t seem to care much. Just kept saying there was nothing they could do and we would have to wait in the lobby until it was back up and running…..missed a critical work event I hosted due to this…

Comfortable room. Breakfast was generally tasty except the biscuits were very hard and one day it seemed like they re-served the same sausages from the day before because they were hard and dried out. One day the syrup almost ran out, and I never saw anyone come to refill it. Housekeeping only comes upon request. I never needed to request it. The refrigerator in my room had some food from a previous guest left in it, and so maybe the cleaning could've been more thorough. Regardless, I always felt like things were clean and comfortable there.

Overall nice stay for price. Our sink leaked in our bathroom and they had no extra pillows to hand out when we asked (just 1 is all we needed). The area between the elevators and the pool is very musty/damp smelling and the floor in front of the elevator was always wet with no signs out. Breakfast was as to expected but juice dispenser was empty for both flavors and no water as an option. Overall room was clean and smelled nice, water pressure was decent and we had plenty of towels. I do appreciate they have Dove brand products for guests in bathrooms.

Our stay was great! We arrived in town a day early and was able to check into our room. We didn’t have to change rooms! We had family members come into town 2 days after us with reservations at a different hotel. They were notified just before check in time that their reservations were canceled. The hotel had over booked the staff at the LaWuinta was great and able to get them a room for the night! We will definitely be staying here during our next visit to Louisville!

Earnest, hard working staff. Glad to have the restaurant/bar in lobby. Beautiful and attractive design. Noisier than most La Quinta’s we’ve stayed in due to apparent construction cheapening (hallway floor bounce and foot noise as well as sound of other guests walking and flushing above). Too bad for such a nice looking property with nice employees. Stayed here because of pet friendly policy which we love.

Pool shut down for maintenance/incorrect billing
We stayed there specifically for the pool for my child. We verified it was open before booking 2 nights. Our first day pool was closed for maintenance and unavailable until the day of checkout after we left. Staff was friendly but I gave 2 credit cards. One for the room (work) and one for expenses. I made a hotel purchase, asking them to bill it to my personal card. When I checked out I saw it had been added to the room card. I went back in and asked them to change it. She said she had taken it off and ran it on my personal card and said it would show in 3 business days. It hadn’t changed so I emailed the property and was told they would fix it immediately. A month later the charge has not been removed so I was asked to pay it back to my employer, too. Disappointed.

Staff were friendly and cared about our comfort. Room we stayed in was dark. It didn’t help a bulb in bed side lamp was burned out. It still would have been dark with that bulb working. Reported I as soon as we arrived and they said it would be fixed by next day. When we left on Sunday it still hadn’t been fixed

Overall the cleanliness was lacking. Front desk check in was difficult. They would not let me wife check into the hotel without me because she did not know the last four digits of the credit card used. Airconditioner makes alot of noice everytime it turns on. Elevator floor and carpets were very dirty. Does not appear that they have full time cleaning staff.

Great!
I was more than pleasantry surprised with this hotel! I had a surgery done and we wanted to be close by. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and friendly even though other customers were being rude to him for another employees mistake. The bed was so incredibly comfortable. I had brought my own pillows from home so it was a great sleep! Nice breakfast too!
