Sofitel in Heathrow London

Posted 22-Nov-2014
Pros: Proximity and luxury close to T5 in Heathrow, London
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: Central London i steadily accessible. I recommend X-mas shopping in Oxford Street.
A great place to stay. Convenient rooms, a short walk from terminal 5 and an excellent breakfast spread.

Convenient and Comfortable

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: All of it
Cons: Couldn't find a way to do express check out on the hotel information pages of their TV system.....
I stayed one night, arriving from Gatwick at midnight and leaving at 8am the following morning to fly home to Los Angeles. The hotel is connected by walkway to T5 (so great for all British Airways flights), and the room was large, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were great (and since all I really needed was a hot shower, a good nights sleep and easy check in to my next flight.......it was perfect). The Vivre buffet was good for breakfast - a little overpriced (but no more than any other airport or resort hotel buffet), and the staff attentive, with good choices on the food, and a very clean, pleasant environment.

Right next to LHR T5

Posted 14-Nov-2014
Pros: Close to Terminal 5 and walking distance to the tube.
Cons: Limited function, nothing more I can suggest.
Location: Nothing near by except the terminal. Take the tube to the city centre, its much better.
Really nice after a long flight, knowing the hotel is right by the airport. Taking tube is not much of a challenge though, its a 55 minutes ride to the city center. Hotel price is expensive but Expedia is more than reasonable, we saved almost 40-50% by booking through Expedia, great value.

This Sofitel was connected to Heathrow Airport's

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the chocolate bar from St Lucia which was provided with the room was a huge comfort after a long day.
Cons: No.
Location: It is next to the airport.
We had to take the shuttle bus between Gatwick and Heathrow and this hotel was very convenient. The staff went above and beyond to help and even up graded our room. It was a wonderful hotel for the overnight stop over.

Fabulous overnight

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Stayed overnight to break journey on a long flight. Hotel staff were friendly and considerate. Got an early check-in and had probably one of the best nights sleep in a hotel ever. Very quiet comfortable, clean room.

Nice location-But overrated!

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: The location and the room. Very quiet and the room was very comfortable with fine toiletries, robes, slippers...
Cons: Restaurant and personnel.
Location: Conveniently located. Connected to terminal 5 in London Heathrow airport.
The hotel is conveniently located. The check in staff was friendly but not adequately efficient. For example, our flight was late getting in and we needed to have dinner. The check in person told us the restaurant was closing and we could get room service. My husband went to the restaurant and we were able to sit down and have plenty of time to have dinner there. He also recommended we take a taxi the following morning to catch our flight in another terminal. The cab was going to cost more than $30. We then came to find out that there was a free express train shuttle that got to our terminal in less than 15 minutes. The main restaurant is adequate. It has a fancy French name, but it's nothing more than a plain eatery. The service was slow and not very attentive. The price of the meal, very expensive.

Pros: location to terminal 5
Cons: nothing
Location: perfect location for terminal 5 so that is main reason for staying there
great hotel, very helpful staff, perfect location in terminal 5 for BA flights, very quiet rooms - could not hear the planes at all.
