I received an upgrade from Expedia so really enjoyed extra value for money. Even without the upgrade, I think it would have been more than satisfactory. King size, comfortable bed in a large, clean, modern, quiet and well-appointed room. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice for travellers of all origins. Staff were friendly and helpful, including check-in, restaurant and the people who organised my transportation. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Excellent Hotel right at HeathrowPosted 15-Oct-2014
Missed a connection and had to stay overnight. Hotel is connected to Terminal 5… very convenient. Very nice hotel, excellent service. Had dinner at the less formal restaurant and the food was excellent.

Great night's rest before a long flight homePosted 8-Oct-2014
Pros: Immaculate rooms, with robes, slippers, and charging stations. Friendly and helpful staff. Good spa.
Our stay at Sofitel was after a whirlwind 15 days across England and Europe. We arrived the afternoon before our flight from Heathrow back to the states. Sofitel was the perfect 'unwind' before heading home. Solid dining choices, clean rooms with extra amenities, and a spa that my wife took advantage of (she got a steam, shower, and massage there) was perfect for recharging the batteries and resting sore touring muscles. Five pounds will get you a shuttle to any of the other terminals. It made an airport experience (which I hate) as pleasant as it possibly could be.

Pros: loved the bed, the long bath tub, the complimentary tea and wifi and the I loved the fact that it was at terminal 5.
Cons: My reservation was to include a free breakfast buffet daily for 4 days but in the end they only let me have 1. Staff seemed confused.
Location: The location is a 5 minute walk from terminal 5 to the hotel. I used the tube to travel into London but there are other transit choices.
Spacious, comfortable, clean room. Complimentary coffee/tea, mini fridge and wifi (with a limit). Quiet room with the most comfortable bed. Air con was excellent. I stayed for 4 nights and used the tube to travel into London each day. Easy access from the tube at Terminal 5 to the hotel, about a 5 minute walk. This was my first visit to London and I was glad is stayed at this hotel.

Really not a 5 star hotel by farPosted 5-Oct-2014
Pros: Location next to T5
Cons: Staff training, appearance, room comfort, free wifi is useless
Location: Walking distance from T5
Rated 5 star but staff extremely untrained, slow in all senses and room nothing special for price positioning of the hotel. You really pay for the location and best imagine you are going to a nice top 3 class hotel. Internet is "free" but signal doesn't reach all rooms and is extremely slow.
