“Very cheap, very clean, pity about the neighbourhood.”
5 star service but in a tatty area of Tooting. Don't be put off by the exterior, it looks like a row of terraced student houses. Inside is immaculate, we had a double ensuite room with Sky TV, Wifi, hairdryer, iron and ironingboard. OK the furniture was IKEA but was very clean. There was a welcome tray with fruitjuice, biscuits, tea, coffee and chocolate drink making facilities. Also, and we have never come across this before, a kitchen open 24 hours a day, with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and a fridge packed full of food including bacon, sausages, eggs, bread, fruitjuice, milk, butter etc which is available free of charge for guests to help themselves to. On the side was a bowl of fruit and packets of cereals. 3 minutes from Tooting Broadway tube station. St. George's hospital 5 minutes walk away. I suppose it would compare with an upmarket hostel. Area around tatty, but is safe, we will stay here again.
“Great time in Tooting”
This hotel was everything I wanted: a small private setting with nice people who made me feel like I was a neighbor instead of just a temporary renter. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was exactly as advertised and clean, the other lodgers were very nice to talk with and the location was excellent... if you like a neighborhood feel and want to get away from big gaudy lobbies, this is the place for you!!!
“Surprisingly excellent place to stay”
I stayed at the Flexistay Aparthotel for one night. It was a lovely mix of hotel and hostel. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with useful amenities such as Sky TV, hairdryer, kettle and snacks. The kitchen downstairs was also extremely clean and well stocked with items for breakfast - bread, spreads, cereals, juices, teas, meat, and more. Friendly welcome. Easy to find from the tube. Excellent value for money. Couldn't fault it.
“Look kids it's Big Ben!”
The hotel was around the corner from Tooting Broadway Underground Station & just minutes from central London. Several fast food restaurants were nearby but there really wasn't any need to go anywhere unless you were going to the city. Room furnishings were simple & clean-laundry facilities & well stocked kitchen are at your disposal 24/7. Attendant very friendly-we got there very late in the evening but he still took the time to physically walk us around & show us everything about the hotel. This was our first time in England so we weren't sure what to expect & we had already been traveling around Europe & Africa for over two weeks. Due to a last minute flight reservation we wound up with an 18 hour layover at Heathrow so this was a pleasant surprise. We wish we could have stayed longer. There was still some painting going on at the hotel but it didn't cause us any inconvenience. This hotel offers everything you need so please don't be disappointed when you realize they don't have a pool or a gym and you have to clean up after yourself if you cook-it's comfortable and almost reminds you of a college dorm room. We would definitely stay here again.
“Perfect if you are on a budget.”
The hotel was very well priced for its cleanliness and accomodation. The room was a decent size, the bathroom was in good working order, and the beds were comfortable. Having a kitchen made eating very affordable as you could go to the local supermarket and eat on the cheap. The only downside is the location. It takes extra time to get to and from central London since getting to and from this location requires sitting on a local underground train as opposed to an express.
“It was exactly what i was looking for”
Single room small but comfortable. Feels more like living in the area than staying at a hotel. Free use of the common area includes fully stocked fridge and kitchen(can cook yourself a nice breakfast), and a washer and dryer . The room has small tv with satellite channels and then free WI-FI was perfect the whole time. Towels changed each day and room fixed up and i noticed they waited a lil later so i wasnt bothered in the morning. The 2 guys i met real quick that work here were very helpful and nice and check in took 3 seconds. Not bothered by anyone the rest of the time. To leave u just dump the key in a box and walk away. Also, the place was actually quieter than I expected as the keys in doors are somewhat loud but didnt bother me. Anyone who wants travel on the cheap and still have a decent place should look into this. Im not so sure Id stay here with a family or if i was lookin for more than just being slightly comfortable but this place was great for me. Its pretty easy to get to Waterloo from here too and is right at tooting tube station basically. Food and drink spots r open late around here too which is nice.
“Bit like student digs - not a criticism!”
I've not stayed in a place like this since I was a student. It was a mid-terrace and as everyone had a private (locked) room with shower room but we shared a kitchen. There was no reception or on-site staff as far as I could see, though there was a young man who turned up every hour or two to check things were OK and there was food/milk in the fridge etc. (You make your own breakfast -and do your own washing up - but they supply everything you need.) Quite a strange arrangement but it made for a sociable stay (I was travelling alone so it was nice to chat to people.) The room was small and basic but at the price I'd say decent value. The place I originally arrived at 2 doors down looked a bit run down so I was happy to see the place I was in had recently been redecorated. I got the impression that both properties were mixed short and long term occupants (some people had post arrive there for example) though everyone I spoke to was only there for a few days. An interesting experience :)
“Très bonne hôtel”
Je suis très satisfait de cet hôtel de manière général. J'ai très bien été accueilli mais si j'avais souhaité obtenir les clés de la chambre avant 14h. Cuisine commune ainsi que les appareils électroménager (machine à laver, sèche linge, réfrigérateur, micro onde, etc). Je le conseil à tous
“Cheap with No A/C”
- Hotel is one of the cheapest in London - But it has no A/C; so if you stay there in the summer, you will feel it!!! - The hotel is in zone 4 of the metro system, with the city center being 1 and the airport being 6 - House keeping wasnt so good, i had to ask to have the room made every day. - Travel time from airport to hotel via the Tube, 1.8 hours (way cheaper than a cab though) - They do server breakfast but its self server. the good thing is they stock the fridge pretty good! - Dont stay here in the summer!!!
“Better than you'd expect for the price”
The Flexistay Aparthotel served its intended purpose; it was a place to stay in London for as little as possible. If you're single and not going to be at the hotel most of the day then this place is great. It's not spotless, but it's certainly not the roach motel you'd expect for how good the price was. They have a shared kitchen area and even included snacks, but I ate elsewhere. I would recommend the place if and only if you are single and need a hotel for leisure (not business).
