“Lovely little hotel would highly recommend”

The hotel is just on the outskirt of town but close enough to walk to the town centre and the train station. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious our room was, double four poster bed with dressing table, TV etc. and ample space. It was very clean and quiet (we were in the downstairs room). Breakfast was lovely with a range of choice from the usual cereals to full english or croissants and egg on toast etc. We were only in the area for one night but would have happily stayed at this hotel longer if we needed to and would stay again if we are in Oxford in the future. The only negative was that we couldn't check in until 4:30pm but the hotel did offer us the option of leaving our luggage if we arrived earlier, we just chose to carry it around with us as we were travelling light. Overall a very nice well presented hotel.

This is definitely a budget hotel but no problems. The free breakfast was excellent. The only problem was the free high speed internet was extremely slow.

Pretty much what I would expect from a chain hotel, without being particularly good or bad. Room was on 4th floor facing a side street so fairly quiet, although walls between rooms are evidently thin. Have stayed in worse for the same price or more in London, so for one night and at that price I'd probably stay again.

“Perfectly adequate”

The room was larger than expected, and the bathroom was fine, the shower worked, etc. The self-service breakfast was OK, and there was plenty of it (although if you want a croissant, pounce quickly before they all disappear!) There were a few strange things that slightly put us off. Firstly, the left-luggage room, which is on the first floor, had no carpet and so looked a bit dodgy (although it was security-card protected). The visitors' toilet is so small that you cannot sit down with your legs in front of you. The only newspaper available was the Irish Times (bizarrely!) The furniture in our bedroom was obviously one-size-WILL-fit-all, so the mirror was squashed in the corner in front of a curved wall when there was plenty of wall-space the other side. Also, there are no drawers, which was a bit of a pain. We saw a few reviews before we came that complained about the noise. We had a room overlooking a side street and weren't disturbed at all, despite staying at the weekend.
