Family accomodations while attending daughters graduation from NMU
Great family accomodations for our 7 overnight family members and 2 to 3 daytime guests. The lakeside cabin is beautifully set with a great view of lake. Cabin very well supplied. We also enjoyed row boating ( there was canoe also) and fishing out on the lake and campfire around the nice firepit area outside. Owner were very accomodating and promptly responded to any questions we had.

Just as pictured!
The cottage and lake were just as it was pictured! It was beautiful. The only downside was that the weather was not very cooperative. We had two beautiful days and then 3 days of rain. But even with the rain the stay was delightful. The cottage was so cozy and it was so relaxing sitting on the sofa with the fire going. The views from the kitchen and family room are lovely and the beds were comfortable. Our dogs loved swimming in the lake. We couldn't figure out how to work the outdoor shower but there was a hose that was available. Luckily we were able to use the outdoor fire pit two nights in a row. We definitely would book again and are seriously considering it.

Great Time
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Well stocked kitchen, toys for the kids, canoe and boat for the lake. We caught over 20 pan fish from dock. Grandchildren really enjoyed it. Lots of beds for everyone. Great location to take day trips from. Highly recommended!!

Very cute and comfortable
Love having a place to relax with space to move about. Beautiful views of the quite beautiful lake and just a quick drive to Marquette. The girls had a blast in the lake.

2nd time staying here
This was our second time staying here and once again this location was perfect for us. Fished the lake and caught some nice fish, and had a blast doing it. Well mannered Pets are allowed for an additional fee. Large kitchen was a ton of fun as we prepared our meals, and also used the outside grill. As we learned last year “Do bring additional TP & paper towels” as there isn’t much, and we also brought our own towels. Right by the lake there is a full screened in cabana that has a propane fire table to warm up a cool summer evening. We are planning on returning next year.

The Little Lake Stay
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils; just needs another big frying pan. Liked the extra spices and oils for cooking. Thanks…. Didn’t try the grill. Wished the paddle boat was there to use. We had a great time…. Quiet, just what was needed. Plus, I love the water to play in…. We came from California

Relaxing family getaway
Our family group of 5 adults and 3 children had a wonderful relaxing week at Little Lake (actually Farmers Lake, I believe!). Bridget was very responsive to questions we had before the stay and also to some minor issues we had when we arrived. Excellent communication and responsiveness! The property is not high end luxury which fits our family style well but provided all we needed--including spotty internet which meant more time with the grandchildren who struggled with their devices!! We loved that! Kitchen is spacious and has almost all the things needed for meal preparation! Kitchen also has windows facing the lake for gorgeous views as one is preparing dinner, etc.. We definitely recommend Little Lake as a comfortable family retreat. Sandy beach is also a bonus!!

Nice quiet cabin
Clean cabin. Cool layout. Very cool property. Directions provided were adequate. We mainly used the cabin to sleep, would’ve been nice to enjoy the property and lake, cuz it looked great.

Beautiful view, awesome location
Beautiful view, awesome screened in cabana, canoe and row boat, nice dock, even an outdoor shower. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare big meals that can be eaten on a very long table. We loved the location and cottage.

Enjoyed our stay
Overall, nice cabin on a nice lake. Bathroom and most of the cabin were exceptionally clean - some items were overlooked from the prior guests, however. Upon our arrival we checked the grill and found it had not been cleaned in an incredibally long time so didnt feel comfortable using it. There was also a pile, and loose, fish scales covering most of the picnic table in the back. Again, things that seem like holdovers from prior guests and probable oversights due to short turn around time between reservations. The beds could also majorly use an upgrade. Aside from those few things we really enjoyed the cabin - the kitchen is beautiful and had a great view of the yard and lake. Great for watching kids in the water and taking in the view. Lake was very clean and we caught a few good bass right off the dock. Neighboring cabins are pretty close but you have quite a bit of privacy for being on such a small lake.

Great place to stay!
The camp is more spacious than it looks in the pictures, plenty of room for a few people or a larger group to fit comfortably. The lake has surprisingly clean & clear water for it being such a small lake. Decent sized yard- plenty of privacy where you don’t have to worry about disrupting the neighbors if you do have a larger group of people. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and very simple check in-check out process. Would definitely stay here again, over all great experience!

Beautiful Property
We spent a week at this beautiful cottage. Everything was perfect. Kitchen well stocked with essentials. Bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The outside amenities were amazing, my husband and son fished everyday, we swam in the lake and enjoyed all the toys. At the end of the day we relaxed by the fire. Great communication from the host whenever I had a question. We fully enjoyed our time on the lake.

This is a great place to stay. Not too much around the immediate area but a 30 to 40 minute drive to a lot of the sight worth seeing in the central area of the Upper Peninsula.

Great up north experience
Walt the owner did a wonderful job communicating with me. The cottage is so beautiful, clean and well stocked with anything you need. This cottage sits on a quiet beautiful lake. He provides everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. It even has a boat house you can use for extra relaxation. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

Great little cottage on a beautiful little lake
Overall we had a good experience! The house was accurately portrayed in the photos online and the owners were very responsive. The setting was beautiful and idyllic. We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed it. Just a couple things that could have made it nearly perfect: The boat house was not the bright, cozy little spot portrayed in the photos. We had to clean and sweep it, arrange the furniture and then find and clean the cushions for the furniture. It was quite a mess! The beds and pillows could use an upgrade. And a mattress cover and pillow covers would be nice.

Great property for a relaxing vacation
This place is great! We loved everything about the property: the house, the boat house, the outdoor shower, and the yard. The lake was much warmer than we expected for this time of year and I’m glad we went with a property on a smaller lake for that reason! The water is clear and the bottom is mostly sand with a few rocks and some leaf squishies. The house itself has a great layout. We had four adults (two couples) and a young toddler and it was the perfect size for us. There’s definitely space for larger parties to be comfortable but with a toddler, the extra space for her to bobble around in the mornings and evenings was really helpful for my sanity. The bedrooms are good sizes, as well. The hosts were amazing with quick and helpful communication. The only thing that was a challenge for us was the wifi. It wasn’t reliable and we had some remote work obligations requiring a drive to Gwinn to hotspot off a cell phone. If we hadn’t had those obligations, though, we wouldn’t have even noticed because we were otherwise pretty unplugged.

Quiet weekend getaway
We had a great weekend in the UP, enjoying the fall color and some great hikes. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on the small lake (we brought our own kayaks), and campfires outdoors at night. The cottage was nice, especially the kitchen and large living area. There was a slight musty smell to the house, especially the couch and loft area, and when we got a bad rainstorm on our last night we realized that some leaking around the windows was likely to blame. The outdoor shower hadn't been cleared of leaves/debris in quite some time, and after we cleared it out we discovered the drain was clogged so that we couldn't use it. The location was nice and communication with the owners was easy, so overall our stay was good.

On entering we saw couple of brooms lying around in the living area. the floors and linens were not clean.. We had to wash the sheets and comforters first before using them. the outdoors are great , but the owner needs to pay attention to provide clean sofas and bedding. the internet stopped working after 9 pm. everyday.

Nice place but needs a little of improvement
Great location to get away from the city life. We were a little disappointed in the pillows and how uncomfortable the beds were. Hopefully the owners will improve that for the next people. Also the towels smelled like they sat in the washer for a day. The other thing there was no toilet paper or hand soap. Lucky there is a small store down the street to handle thw code brown. They lake is awesome and the house is great. Great for families and friends. We did enjoy our stay.

Perfect Fall Getaway
Camp Kyle was a great little place to get away for a long weekend. The lake was quiet and very peaceful. The location was a perfect distance from Marquette and Pictured Rocks. Bridgette was a great host and very easy to communicate with. The cottage was very cozy for a nice fall stay.

Nice lake, some issues with cottage
Lake was wonderful/sand bottom, Cottage was nice, most issues were related to cleaning....we had to pick up previous renters dog poop after stepping in it, we had to wash one of the comforters that was not clean, some mouse droppings in kitchen drawers, there we no photos of loft area in listing-ceilings very low in upper loft-several guests that stayed in loft hit their heads on light fixture that hung down too far several times, when we were packing up one of our guests hit it and loosened it from the ceiling, we were charged a damage fee for that.

Absolutely perfect!
We had the BEST week with our family! The house could not have been more perfect. We fit the 5 of us and our 2 dogs with room to spare. The lake is so quiet and was clean with a sandy bottom - not mucky at all. The little screened in porch was a favorite place for all of us, as well as the hammock, to just relax. The location is perfect to take day trips to various locations (waterfalls, hiking paths, etc.) Thank you! We will be back!

Great Family Vacation
The lake is clean sandy bottom and very safe for little kids. The lake was very quiet while we were there and safe for our children to take the row boat or canoe out. The kitchen was spacious and view was incredible and makes it easy to see family at play. The screened in porch by the water was great for morning coffee or a place to read. Our kids enjoyed fishing from the dock and swimming. We had plenty of space and beds for oue family of 9, and home was comfortable with wonderful weather. The last day was a little warm becuase it was very humid outside. The AC unit in the master bedroom and upstairs were very helpful. Having a washer and dryer was very helpful, and home is set up with everything you need. Location is a short drive to Marquette area, where we really enjoyed exploring Presque Isle and enjoyed a charter fishing trip on Lake Superior. Overall many great memories!

Little Lake Cabin
We had an amazing time in this cabin. I had read some of the negative reviews before hand and they mentioned that the unit didn’t provide kitchen ware or towels and this was not true. The kitchen was beyond fully stocked and we had more than enough towels, blankets, pillows, and accessories. We couldn’t have had a better time :) highly recommend!

Overall we enjoyed our time. The kitchen could have been a bit cleaner and had at least one roll of paper towels or napkins. The listing also stated that there were s’mores roasting sticks on site. The sticks we found were all rusted and unusable. Small complaints but misleading. The lake was beautiful and fun with the boats to go out on. Also, the little screened in porch was cozy.

Birthday getaway
Each year we pick a different location in the UP to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our choice this year did not disappoint. The cabin was perfect, we especially enjoyed the kitchen and dining area, which were large enough for our group to all eat together. Having laundry available was also an added bonus. Owner was easy to reach with questions and fairly quick to respond. Only negative would be the comfort of the beds, they all felt like you’re sleeping directly on the box springs. Aside from the beds, we were very pleased with our stay. *side note, this location is not ideal if youhave a large group that plans to be outside having drinks around the fire. Neighbors are very close and sound really carries across the water
