Our room did not have AC. I called down straight away and was told that it would be turned on. A couple of hours later I called back down as it was still quite warm. I was told it would be addressed. 2 minutes later, I got a call back that the AC was not working for our room and that we could change rooms. We were already in bed and set up so that was not a reasonable option. The next morning I was told that there was no AC on the 5th floor as they are transitioning the system from heat and that the person I spoke with should have known that. I asked why we were put on that floor if the AC wasn’t working. The person at the desk had no answer. The supervisor was not in. I honestly believe that when you book through a third party, you are not treated with the same respect or given the same level of service. Twice now I’ve not been happy with rooms booked through Expedia. I was shocked as generally Holiday Inn is quite good. I asked for my money back and was told I would have to email the supervisor once back in Canada.
