The picture they showed in the advertisement did not match the interior or was taken in a manner that made it look far more elegant than what it is. The walls were marred and there was a rusty hole in the front of the fridge. There was one little picture hanging way too high and the rest of the walls were completely bare making the place look less than inviting. The sofa and chair were worn but would have been okay if the rest of the place looked better, the heater in the bedroom didn't work, the skillet pans were heavily scraped up Teflon (we had to make eggs in the microwave). They also didn't have any extension cords that would give access to outlets so we had to move furniture to plug in phones. It would have cost less than $100 to put plug-ins near the bed, replace worn pans, put something nice on the walls and put a bedskirt on the bed in the main living area. It was like visiting your 60 year old bachelor uncle's apartment (no offense to bachelor uncles - many do have style!). It was a lot of money for a shabby rental. On the plus side, they did have an HDMI cable to watch a movie from our computer.

We really enjoyed staying here with the exception of the the hot tub being out of commission and the crappy bed. The lack of hot tub was extremely disappointing and all they could say was that the chemicals were not balanced, that they had no idea when it was going to be fixed. I make sure that I have access to a hot tub when I travel due to injuries that make sleeping in foreign beds difficult and painful. And the bed was terrible! the mattress was hard, bumpy, no topper on it. My back was killing me!! and no hot tub to remedy that. So we were bummed. Other than that, the spot is awesome, on the water, access tot he beach, close to lots of good stuff.

My sister and I stayed in the "Yo Crabba Crabba" room Friday through Sunday. It was one of the worse stays we've experienced. There was a utility trailer parked too close in front of our room door with a ladder sticking out on the ground causing a trip hazard, the room smelled, Skittles under the couch, the cabinets were sticky, and food on some of the utensils in the drawer. The room does have a great view and beach access but we will be looking for other accommodations in the future.

*Review based on construction during time of stay. Offered a full refund but there was insufficient time to find another affordable location to stay and it was during spring break weeks. Parking was limited at the time but due to the construction. Noise from upstairs condo and/or stairs after 1am during first night was not ideal but expected from a ground level condo. Shower head had hard water build up that was usable but could have been better. I could not figure out thermostat or which heat vent would blow hot air but did not spend too much time tinkering as I came prepared with extra personal blankets. Overall affordable stay. Thank you.

Construction on first floor makes the rest of the building inconvenient, loud and messy. Once the renovations are completed, I’m sure this place will be better because the view of the Pacific Ocean from the condo is beautiful!
