Huckleberry house was perfect. Small, no frills, but just what we needed. Mountain views were spectacular! It is a small cabin in an RV park, so if you’re looking for a fancy hotel this isn’t it… however if you’re looking for a clean, warm, safe, accessible home base to eat, sleep, shower, and change between the limitless incredible activities nearby, this is just right. It probably isn’t the best place to spend a rainy day doing puzzles or piling on the couch as a family to watch movies, but it has more than a hotel room, like a nice cooktop, mini-fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, pots/pans/dishes, etc. The property is basically still an RV park, so there are people coming and going to other units, dirt/mud/ice driveways, close neighbors like maybe 10 feet away, but it is also right in Leadville, walking distance from numerous restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as an easy no-traffic 25 minute drive from copper mountain.

It is exactly as advertised, tiny for the money. Clean. My biggest complaint was that tere was absolutely no bedding available for the futon bed, not even a blanket.

We loved the tiny house! Very cute and convenient to the main drag in Leadville. Somehow they had just about everything we would need. I like how each one is individually named and designed; I imagine each one has its own story.

This place was awesome. The layout is well-thought out and makes the best of the space, I felt like 1-2 more people could have stayed with me without it feeling too crowded. Instead I had the place to myself and it felt wicked spacious. Host was great and I will definitely look back into this place next time I head out west.

Great for larger families!
This tiny house had the best layout of the many we've visited in Leadville. It was a little rundown in the interior with some staining on the couch cushions and other mostly aesthetic issues. The lofts can only be accessed by ladder - no stairs - so keep that in mind if you don't like climbing. Our biggest complaint was that we couldn't figure out how to adjust the heat so we spent the first night hot and stuffy before we learned the right combination of windows to open to allow some airflow. I hate that there is no recycling, but I get that this is not a service that Leadville provides.

Great location! The house actually felt bigger than I would have thought. I would bring a small table (depending on what one they assign you) that would have been great for some games. Also, I would bring a snow shovel in the winter. The parking space was shoveled, but only enough to get the car in, so getting in and out of the car in the snow was tough without having to do a little more shoveling.

Stayed in the Duke tiny home over New Year's. Despite being advertised as sleeping 5 it only came with linens for 3 (and only 2 towels) and not enough dishes. The main contact was easy to get ahold of, but it took some time for them to contact the local manager. Everything was delivered, but be sure to check you have everything before it gets too late. We've stayed in one of the other tiny homes and it was definitely warmer than Duke. The wall unit, small space heater and thin comforters definitely weren't enough but we managed.

I always enjoy my stays here. However, there NEEDS to be a better job of cleaning done. This time the furniture already had stains on it. No extra blankets, no extra sheets. I would also recommend getting better curtains/shades for better privacy. I'm sure I'll be back again! 🙌

The heater in the kitchen kept shutting itself off. Thank goodness you had 2 other heating units. Extra blankets would have been nice. And A rug to enter the house would have been nice. We will stay again, but will bring blankets with us.

Nice place, deceiving billing.
Everything is good for most part. Thing is their billing is weird. I’ve booked twice and they tell you x amount is due now and x amount on day of check in. They just bill the whole amount. I don’t mind it if they tell you that. But not a fan of doing differently than they say. Other than that it’s good.

Tiny House Vacation requires full payment at the time of the booking if the stay is within 30 days prior to arrival date. And if the stay is more than 30 days prior the check in date, we require 50% payment which is due at the time of the booking and the balance is collected 30 days prior to arrival date.
