“Lovely hotel. Tasteful with service to match.”
We stayed at the Alion Hotel for three nights and considered it a very high standard hotel for a beach resort and small enough ( 100 rooms )to offer a consistently high standard of personal service. Our sea view rooms had a wonderful vista of Grecian Bay , Ayia Napa Harbour and Cape Greko. They were nicely furnished and well equipped throughout and included balcony table and chairs. Both the rooms and public areas were tasteful and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have tried. Excellent choice and high quality. True, the pool side drinks were too expensive ( 7 Euros for a large milk shake! ) but the food menu was varied, high quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have sun beds allocated on check in. However the beach was also well supplied with sun beds at a small charge. We walked into Ayia Napa in the evening which was a ten minute walk. This was fortunate as taxis were ovepriced at 8 to 10 Euros to go two minutes down the road! Overall a lovely relaxing three nights stay. We will definitely be returning to the Alion.
“Very good quality”
Stayed for 6 nights over New Year. Hotel was clean, staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast buffet choice was great (including sparkling wine!), location on the beach is better than a lot of the hotels that are on the road. Was very quiet when we were there in the off-season, most other hotels are shut and many restaurants/pubs are too, but there are easily enough to keep you satisfied. The hotel's location is good - just far enough out of town to be away from the main shopping/bars/clubs etc., but near enough to walk to in ten minutes, either on the pavement or down the beach. The beach is decent and there are two other pools as well (one indoors, one outside). It is on the Cape Greco side of town, so there is much less urban sprawl in the area. I would say this was a 'Cyprus 5 star' - maybe an international 4 star, or 4.5 if there is such a thing - and it is well run and very welcoming. I'd definitely go back.
“Hotel avec un excellent accueil”
Hotel très confortable dont l'accueil est excellent. Petit-déjeuner parfait. Proximité raisonnable du centre ville.
“Alion Beach Hotel Review”
Great hotel, Great service, and Amazing location!!
“Without doubt one of Ayia Napa's best Hotels - if not the best”
Hotel was excellent. Staff very friendly throughout. Room very clean and well presented. Breakfast is not a word that can describe the choice - If you eat it for breakfast they have it.. The pool and beach facilities were second to none. We have done a lot of travelling and this hotel rates the best. Definitely recommended. I must also say that I had a pleasant surprise with Ayia Napa, it was really nice (although it was early in the season) with none of the lager lout culture I had feared. Lots of excellent local restaurants within a safe pleasant stroll from the hotel. Our particular favourite was the “Clarabel Flambee Restaurant” on Makarios Street but also had some great meals elsewhere. The Melissa looked very nice but the food really failed to meet expectation. Similarly the St George, a really nice dinner, spoilt by the bad tempered display expressed by the waitress when she thought I only tendered the correct money for our meal. This quickly turned to a really pleasant “good night and have a wonderful evening” as we walked out the door presumably after she had another look and counted the tip we had actually left, but the damage was done and we did not return. We had hired a car and travelled around finding many really nice and interesting places. In summary, great weather, a great hotel and yes you’ve guessed it and great holiday.
“Nice hotel, friendly staff, daily evening entertainment.”
A great hotel to rest.. very quiet..and most of the guests are mature.. Staff is very friendly, pool is a bit small, but you have the beach they have daily live entertainment at the bar, food is Ok.. TV reception is very bad in all rooms, air-conditioning in the lobby is weak...Wifi is only at the lobby.. 5 to 7 minutes walk from the nightlife, water activities available at the beach. Would visit again if i get a better rate. Free parking
“Very good will definitely go again”

“Possibly the best available in Alia Napa”
The greatest attribute is the staff who are very friendly and efficient. It has all the facilities of a 5* but without the general ambience that one has come to expect internationally. The gym equipment is very tired, the indoor pool is small, the garden and pool area are quite tightly packed, the evening entertainment is bit like a holiday camp. The location is good for exploring the area, but out of the way for exploring the rest of Cyprus. It is a short walk to the town of Alia Napa which has a plethora of good resturants - we never had a bad meal. The town is no doubt buzzing for 20/30 year olds, but is very tacky and not best suited for old fogies. A good location and hotel for a spring/autumn break (but the weather at end of April was unexpectedly chilly with some rain). The staff, location (vis-a-vis the town) and direct access to a good, clean, safe beach are by far the best selling points.
“Good Hotel”
The hotel is good for that area. I found that hotels in Cyprus are not to international standard of 3 , 4, 5 stars in general. It is more self proclaimed. This is definitely a 4 star hotel and is close to international standards. It is a very clean hotel.
“Relaxing Peaceful festive break but may not be to everyones taste”
Went Christamas - New Year. Most of town shut up so do not go if you want busy night life. The hotel was lovely lobby looked lovely with big tree and staff very friendly. Glass of lemonade at check in. Staff great. given cake and cap on my birthday which was lovely. Rooms cleaned twice a day. Eve food was served indoors, we did not eat there much as not to the taste of one of our kids. Wine expensive but it is in all of bars we visited and cocktails priced competively so drank them. Bar nice. Breakfast was good lots of choice but the bacon was soggy kept warm over steam. . In Dec the air conditioning is OFF heating On it was 20 degrees outside we found it hot at night.1st room. The road side a bit noisy if we opened patio door at night noise echoed, but fine with it shut. Staff changed it for sea view so could open door cool sea breeze and sea noise at night, these rooms have lovely view all day sun Gym ok for hubby and 3 boys and empty most days. As was tennis court all free use. Out door pool was a little too cold used once but smallish warmer indoor pool we used daily. Beach empty and we managed to swim in sea due to warm weather. Spa treatments good. Entertainment a bit understated, mostly single singer or piaonist but we liked this. Hotel FULL of Germans OAP's and us only 2 other english but was ok by us. Went to Christmas banquet but although food good entertainment not great. Went up town to see fire works new year eve for free.Pool table had ball missing.
